oh my

I hope he is ok. I didn't read this one before I responded to Lucky's post. So there was a reason for Lucky's post. Anyways, I hope KNEM is ok. I hope it's not a plane accident or something like that???

I saw the news... you okay?

I sincerely appreciate the concern of sundry and all about my safety after the unfortunate crash at my home airport (MEM). I hereby promise to inform each and every one of you if I have a fatal crash.

I never take crashes lightly and please don't suppose I am taking this one so, but, bad things happen to good people and auto accidents and aircraft crashes are part of life or modern life as it exists.

Thanks again for your concern.

Best regards,

KMEM

A small private aircraft (6 seater + one engine) with 4 folks aboard crashed Sunday after noon while on approach into the MEM airport. 1 person was killed and 3 others seriously injured. The weather was not good at the time but the cause is unknown at the moment.

Best regards,

KMEM

Last Activity

I believe KMEM had posted something in the Politics forum about 3 hours prior to the original post in this thread, and well after the crash Sunday night.

Yes, it was in terrible taste, but VERY funny.

I thought so.

No one here, as the man said, gets out alive.

P.S. Cleese's exit line -- "You know, I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't some trouble about this" -- reminds me uncannily of the pitch-perfect final exchange between Sullenberger and Skiles before water impact:

Sully: "Got any ideas?"

Skiles: "Actually not."
