This is a question that I always have a hard time answering. When I travel...

Would clients prefer to visit me in a well known hotel? Or would they feel comfortable visiting me in a Gay Resort.

I'm in the process of booking a trip for this November. While I'm finding very cheap rates at a Hyatt and all the others.... one of my well know colleagues was very helpful today in recommending some very nice clothing optional Resorts. I have only been to these places with friends or just one on one with a client, and have always had a great time.

 

So tell me... Does this really matter to you? For the married and EXTREMELY discreet man...I think I know your answer. That is always a deciding factor for me.

Love the gay resorts - they are very friendly and fun. It's the last place I'd want to hook up with an escort though. Even just moderately discrete men would probably not want to have to talk to anyone during their visit.

I prefer a third option: for the escort to come to me in my hotel.

 

If I must choose between A and B, I would prefer A. I know a fair number of gay men and might well run into any one of them at a gay resort. Going there to meet an escort could variously be funny or awkward, depending on who I saw. Hotels are safe options.

Hotel vs. Gay Resort

 

Considering that meeting an escort may be stressful enough, especially for first timers or those that are just naturally nervous about these encounters anyway, trying to keep the location as standard and familiar as possible would be my preference. I've never been to a gay resort and would think twice or three times about meeting an escort there because it would not be in my comfort zone whereas hotels are a normal part of my and I suspect most peoples lives.

As much fun as a gay resort can be, from a business point of view you should stay with a traditional hotel, e.g Hyatt. Discretion is paramont for many clients and you should provide the safest environment.

I agree that a gay resort provides a great sense of freedom from the tensions of having to cope with the straight world. But if I were you (which is to say if I had your great physique) I be afraid of having to deal with guys expecting freebies there. And then there are the demographics. In areas with gay resorts (say Key West, Palm Springs, etc.) are there enough "hourly" clients to make it a profitable visit? Or might it be that there's a gay resort local to New York? - if only!

Just as I thought. I have never done a gay resort for this. So the name brand hotel it is.

I thought as much. I just wanted to hear some thoughts. I really appreciate it guys.

As for the NYC in my name ...

I'm still very happy here in Chicago. Just have not updated the contact info.

Still shopping around for new internet and cell.

By the way, note that I said that I prefer escorts to come to me. Some escorts choose to stay in fairly inexpensive hotels and only do out calls. Doing incalls requires a somewhat better hotel room. In Manhattan, one would think that only doing outcalls might well be a reasonable option.

Dane, with someone as well known in the gay escorting world, I would think it likely you would recognized at the gay resort. Do you really want some guests with not much else to do but turn over and burn, counting the number of men coming to your room? How much fuel do you want to throw on the how much do escorts make fire?

Well said. That was always my concern. As I said my decision is made. I'll keep the resorts for my personal life.

By the way, I would be one of the ones checking the comings and goings into your room, but I doubt I would notice any of the clients. You, clothing optional, I think my last coronary might give out.

Actually, New York is a large enough market to support lodgings at all price points in the spectrum. The Plaza, Pierre, 4 Seasons places are well known and the chains are well advertised. The problem is finding those in the middle that may be locally owned and operated and not advertising in major markets. Moreover these mid-priced places are seldom found in midtown or the financial district which means they not be as convenient for commuting clients.

Yes, I agree. I wasn't clear in my post. What I meant to say was that there might be enough clients around who would like to meet in their hotel to allow a traveling escort to choose a cheaper hotel for their own accommodations without worrying if a client would approve or not.

Having gone to my first Gay resort in Palm Springs for Luckys bash... I would say that I'd have a lot more fun at the resort You'd just have to promise to be good in the jacuzzi!

 

I found it to be very discrete, very friendly, and a lot of fun!
