A new book based on tapes done by Clinton during the Clinton White House years and after is soon to come out. One of the items mentioned, which is probably not one of the highlights, relates to Boris Yeltsin's visit to the US. It seems that Mr. Yeltsin was found by government officials after he left the government house at which he was staying. This house was near the White House. The officials related that Yeltsin was found alone on the street, drunk, in his underwear, trying to get some pizza.

My questions:

Have you or anyone you know been so drunk as to leave the house in underwear to look for pizza?

Two, if you saw Boris Yeltsin standing in his underwear in the street trying to wave down traffic, would you stop and take him for pizza?

My answer to the first is, I have not been that drunk since I was in my 20's and while I definitely caroused the streets in a near drunken stupor, I don't ever recall being so drunk as to get nearly naked outdoors.

The answer to the second, is I definitely would stop.

Although I have been drunk, I have never been so drunk that I would walk the streets in my underwear looking for pizza. Barbecue, perhaps, but not pizza. (J/K...haven't been that drunk)

If the guy really was Boris Yelstin, I would have stopped. I might not have taken him to get pizza, but at least I would have stopped to talk to him.

You don't need to be drunk to get nearly naked outdoors. You should try it sometime. It's a gas.

The Boris Yeltsin incident is apparently going to be the basis of a TV movie, with David Hasselhoff playing Yeltsin.
