@8:27 AM, Toronto:

Sunny, blue sky, wisps of clouds, crisp.

55F/14C

After one of the wettest summers on record (# of rain days, not actual rainfall), Torontonians are getting relief in a sunny September dry spell unmatched for more than 70 years.

According to Environment Canada, there hasn't been a trace of rain in the city since Aug. 30. (21 days!) A dry period like this hasn't happened since the fall of 1938, when Toronto enjoyed 26 days without a drop of precipitation.

And where you are?

What's it like outside right now?

0825 CDT 76/24 91% humidity 600 overcast

It has rained every day at some point for the last 10 days. The temperatures are about normal for the last few days of official summer but it doesn't rain like this in September very often.

My question to you is: Have you had a normal amount of precip for the year to this point or not?

So many places, like Georgia have been so dry for a few years, seem to be catching up at the moment. Mild swipe at global warming. Who knows what the real long term earth climate SHOULD be like?

Best regards,

KMEM

Good to see that you are still here.

Not to hijack the thread but I thought I'd mention that I spent a bit of time with my CFI last week and decided to start the IA in a couple of weeks, probably at the rate of about 4 hours per week. I'm looking forward to it. ;)

Good to see you posting the last couple of days. Also good to see you get back in the saddle. A lot of folks cut WAY back the last several months for obvious ($) reasons. I do see more activity lately than in quite a while. All good.

Yep. A 2200NM XC convinced me it was time for the IA. Part of the fun will be the challenge itself.

Sun in TO

6:19pm & it's 20 C & still sunny in TO. Heaven knows we deserve it after the wet Summer we had. Also, saves me from seeing the silly schmucks running around in sunglasses in the rain

BG

Weather in my brain is foggy.

I am not sure but is

CFI A new series on CBS like Miami CFI?

IA A movie about robots who are really backward

socially. AI only backwards?

2200NM XC A large group of southwesterns taking an inhibition lowering drug? 2200 New Mexicans on ecstasy.

If not please inform me what they mean. Thanks

Not to step on BG but CFI is certified flight instructor, 2200NM XC is a 2,200 nautical mile cross country (flight) and I will leave IA for BG to fill in. :)

It's a typical day in Palm Springs: blue skies, low 100s, very little humidity, light breeze; I can't remember the last time it rained (February?). Water temperature in the pool is down to 81. I'm heading up into the eastern Sierras (behind Yosemite) tomorrow to look for some fall foliage.

Let's see, you used PK's response as your example of the hijacking and your post mentioned the weather where?
