It's refreshing to see a performer having fun on stage. I just love how at the end she grabs those ladies and starts dancing with them. I've always liked Charo, from her appearances on "The Carol Burnett Show" to the Sprint ads a couple of years ago.

She is very likely significantly older. This has been a controversy surrounding her for a long time. She married Xavier Cugat when he was 60 and she was supposedly 20. When they divorced, she said that she lied and was really 15 when she married and the US government verified her age based on that and her parents sworn testimony. Other documents, like her Spanish birth certificate, suggest she was really 25 when they married. So there you have it. She is officially 57 according to the US Government. Considering our governments abilities with figures and a woman's tendency to lie about her age, she may actually be as old as 68. Speaking of figues, she is still in great shape and moves like a much younger woman.

He was very popular in the 40's and 50's and then he was the envy of his peers when he married Charo, who sang with him and no doubt furthered her career greatly by marrying him.
