Sadly the recent Tornadoes also took the lives and made homeless even more animals!

With the summer gone and the cold winter winds just a few short weeks away, just a reminder that our companion animals need our help. Holiday season is a time for giving and with the economic downturn all charities are feeling the pinch. Animal charities in particular have been hard hit. This charity does not cost anything but a click. I know most of us know about this site but there have been some new members over the last 6 months, so I thought I would bring this back during the holiday season.

Great to see this Thread and very important LINK is back up! Hopefully we can keep it going through 2012!

 

***I'm thinking though that due to the length of this Thread NOW would be the Time to Start a NEW...." Dogs & Cats NEED YOUR HELP" Thread?

I for one would definitely as in the past do a weekly reminder with a well deserved bump?

 

It has had its "detractors" BUT IMHO it is definitely more "Humane & Charitable" than other Threads that have come and gone! IMHO of couse ;)

I just clicked with my beloved Longfellow( my 14 year old maltipoo and partner in crime) beside me and I will keep clicking for all those beautiful beings who are not as fortunate as my buddy. I also noticed a very nice on-line store with unique products, great prices, and super cause. This is gonna be my North Pole this year!!

Hello again to you animal lovers. Consider adopting a shelter pet after the holidays. Lots of animals turned into shelters when the realization of the work that goes into having a pet, hits. Also those pesky allergies can lead some pets to a shelter. Everyone loves a put or kitten but older dogs need love too. Sometimes a nice bond can be made with an older and younger pet with the older one serving as a guide and mentor. Kind of a Sugar Doggy.

I'm doing a Weekly Click Early to remind everyone that IF you do Adopt or know someone thinking of Adopting always take your new Best Friend to a Vet as soon as possible.

 

Sadly there has been a "Distemper" Outbreak in a Fla Rescue site...Sad indeed as most dogs donot survive this highly communicable disease!
