Yes

A statistical analysis will be helpful. Just a bar graph doesn't seem to mean anything to me...

Was there any analysis of these results? I would find it interesting to know if culture, geography or nationalities have any bearing on this.

Anyone else think it odd that they put the bottoms on top of the tops in the graph

Probably they took into consideration the "power bottoms" who like to be on top ... ;)

I'm wondering where are listed the versatile guys on this graph ?

The bars for Miami seem right on. There's a good reason Ft. Lauderdale (comes under Miami stats) is known as Ft. Bottomdale. I don't know about a scientific study, but if sex sites are any indicator, the shortage of tops is serious. The Gay Chamber of Commerce needs to actively get more tops to relocate here. Perhaps, they could pay the moving expenses.

The versatile ones are the very fine line that separates the two. ;)

Exactly...and its funny because the South Florida gay scene is dominated by men and TS. Places like Twist, Boardwalk almost exclusively male. And I can believe New Yorks stats...I've met so many New Yorkers over the years in Florida and I cannot remember meeting a single one who didnt want to top. It just doesnt happen. If you meet a New Yorker be prepared to bottom :D

Since versatile is not mentioned in this list. I believe that more versatile guys given only the choice of top or bottom would identify as bottom as many think of tops as being only tops. That might skew the information.

Trust PK to spot the effect of a forced choice in skewing the results. :)

This survey from Italy found about 1/2 the guys identified as "versatili," with roughly equal numbers for "passivi/pr. passivi" and "attivi/pr. attivi."

In America, I strongly suspect the regional swings in self-reported top or bottom preference has more to do with local variations in the old gay cultural prejudice that awards a higher status to tops than to real differences in behavior. Likely it's just another statistical artifact of the forced choice.

In all truth, I just couldnt put any 'stats' on tops vs bottoms. I've met the most bottomest bottoms turn out to top...and the topest tops go bottom. Like, I could have swore he was a..........................................If anything they voted for how they felt at that moment in time ;)
