I just went to visit a past escorts profile and there is a message on it that he has died .

I saw Brok Austin about 8 years ago . I called him Brokolee . He was a kind and gentle man that loved the Christmas holidays . We saw each other before Christmas and went to Pigeon Forge Tennessee . We went to the Christmas shops and he explained that he had an extensive collection of ornaments and globes . I bought a fiber optic poinsettia and we brought it back home and plugged it up . We laughed and laughed at the way it changed colors and made a noise . I only saw Brokolee for the one time a long weekend but we kept in touch for a while . I think of Brokolee at Christmas and when I go to Pigeon Forge. I can't believe that he has died .

Gentlemen I think most of the escorts that I have seen have left me with some special remembrance and Brok left me with his child like enthusiasm for Christmas Globes and ornaments and such a kind and gentle soul .

I am very sad for the loss of Brok and I am shocked . Why did he die ?

This thread is for you Brok my friend . I have never forgotten you and I will always keep you in my heart. I hope that your last days were happy ones and that you are at rest in heaven .

Thank you for giving me a weekend of joy in sharing your unique life.

I will never forget you .. Rest in Peace my friend !!!!! Rest in Peace !!

Sorry for your loss. He'll live on through the MB and in our thoughts. :)

I too am shocked at this news. I hired Brok once when I was in Miami and he was on a visit to Fort Lauderdale. He was a hunk of a man, mature and very hot in bed. I often thought of seeing him again especially when he would post his travel plans but our paths never crossed.

He lived in Fort Myers and in Indiannapolis and split his time between the two places. This is indeed sad news. He had a friend who also escorted out of Fort Myers and I met him briefly with Brok as they were travelling together and staying at the same gay B&B. He will be devastated I am sure.

Yes his friend was Mark I think and they lived together when in Florida . Brokolee worked a day job at Havertys Furniture I think . He and his friend went on several cruises together and frequented the cruise message boards !!! His friend should have a profile here also under Naples . I'm still in shock and disbelief !!! I don't want this to be true !!

It's Mark Andrews in Naples

Ocean.. So Sorry to hear of his Passing. I know His Name has appeared on this site from time to time with only kind words about him.

Does anyone know the cause of his demise? Heart attack, cancer, traffic accident?

Yes, it was Mark Andrews who was travelling with him and they were scheduled to go on a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale when I met them. I remember thinking I would have loved to be taken in their luggage on that cruise! They were both hunky guys, just my type!

The review site says Brok was in his 40's but I would guess early 50's. In any event, when I saw him he was in very nice shape and obviously took care of his body. He also was very well endowed, quite exceptional in fact, a real nine incher and thick!

As I said, I will always have fond memories of him since he was such a nice fellow and not a clock watcher either, very relaxed and laid back.

The first thing that Brokolee told me when he came here was his age as he had not told the truth on his ad . Are you ready for the truth ?

Brok was 59 years old this year . How do I know and still remember that ? Brokolee and I are the same age !!!!!:D

The reason that I never saw him again was because after he left I happened to see online that he had done or was doing a bareback video . I disagree with that and I never called him again but we kept in touch for a while . I am still saddened and now I wonder if his lifestyle is the cause of his demise .

Sending Blessings your way and his~

I did not know Broc. I just happened to come across this thread though and was really compelled to write a note of Thanks to you.... for your genuine caring, dedication and concern for Broc. Both of you lucky... you for your compassion, him for his ability to share the blessings of being alive with you and others and both for having spent not just a fun time together but a valuable and meaningful time together~! Life's term is inevitable... making the living moments something of merit to each other personally and to others is the amazing part. That those moments live on not just in us but beyond us or our initial experiences together is Beautiful~!!!

I am hearing that you miss his company but still feel his presence. The circumstances imply grieving but there is also the foundational gifts to each other that remain alive and Wonderful. there is healing in that.

Thank You Ty !! There is healing in having expressed my feelings here . I was actually looking at his photo here about a month ago and remembering the Christmas globes and the good times we had . I wouldn't have known that he died . You seem to be an extraordinary and gentle soul yourself and I thank you for your thoughts !!:) He's the second esort that I have seen that I know has died ..the first one was Leo Ford .

I lived in Ft Myers, Florida until 2005. I saw Brok on a fairly regular basis.

We lived only about 1 mile apart so it was easy to keep in touch. I do

remember one year Dillards was going to have Christmas ornaments on sale

after Christmas and he was planning to be there as soon as they opened.

Though he as not as close friend I am still shocked to hear of his death.

If anyone knows the cause, please post it. Even at 59 years old, that

is just too early ! He told me once that he did not really like living in

Florida, that he would rather be back in Indianapolis. So he would travel

between the 2 places on regularly.

A Good Guy

Yes, I had seem Brock a few years back and he was the best. We had an overnight in St. Louis I think and I enjoyed his masculinity very much. I then saw Mark in Dallas for an o/n at Brock's suggestion and he troo was great - both real men with personalities. I hope Mark is OK and will think of him lots in the next few days. Bill

Brok's death was caused by an infection in his leg that spread thru his body until he died. His family and Mark were with him when he expired peacefully. We who knew him will miss him greatly. Mark, I know, is takig it badly since they have been in a relationship for over a decade.

MSRA is a horrid infection that is very resistant to most current antibiotics and if not caught early and put in check and prove to be very deadly very quickly.

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a bacterium responsible for difficult-to-treat infections in humans. It may also be referred to as multidrug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus or oxacillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (ORSA). MRSA is by definition a strain of Staphylococcus aureus that is resistant to a large group of antibiotics called the beta-lactams, which include the penicillins and the cephalosporins.

The organism is often sub-categorized as Community-Acquired MRSA (CA-MRSA) or Health Care-Associated MRSA (HA-MRSA) although this distinction is complex. Some have defined CA-MRSA by criteria related to patients suffering from an MRSA infection while other authors have defined CA-MRSA by genetic characteristics of the bacteria themselves. CA-MRSA strains were first reported in the late 1990s; these cases were defined by a lack of exposure to the health care setting. In the next several years, it became clear that CA-MRSA infections were caused by strains of MRSA that differed from the older and better studied healthcare-associated strains.[1] The new CA-MRSA strains have rapidly become the most common cause of cultured skin infections among individuals seeking emergency medical care for these infections in urban areas of the United States. These strains also commonly cause skin infections in athletes, jail and prison detainees, and soldiers.

MRSA is a resistant variation of the common bacterium Staphylococcus aureus. It has evolved an ability to survive treatment with beta-lactam antibiotics, including methicillin, dicloxacillin, nafcillin, and oxacillin. MRSA is especially troublesome in hospital-associated (nosocomial) infections. In hospitals, patients with open wounds, invasive devices, and weakened immune systems are at greater risk for infection than the general public. Hospital staff who do not follow proper sanitary procedures may transfer bacteria from patient to patient. Visitors to patients with MRSA infections or MRSA colonization are advised to follow hospital isolation protocol by using the provided gloves, gowns, and masks if indicated. Visitors who do not follow such protocols are capable of spreading the bacteria to cafeterias, bathrooms, and elevators.

What a great shame.

My condolences to his family and lover.

Was it MRSA?

My thoughts are with him, his family, his partner and friends who knew him. He's in a better place now where there is no more pain.
