staged post /names

"Somewhere in this thread also was brought up the topic of 'stage names'. This is rather silly, I use my stage name, as a porn model, if I used my street name or my legal name in escort advertisements no one would be able to find me."

maybe my response was unclear i dont think hiring someone with a stage name is hiring a liar or a realationship based on lies.

I do want to clarify that I think it is absolutley important to use stage names and that I believe they are a very good Idea I use my name David because its very common.

I think everyone deserves their privacy without having a truth commission that determines ones character/"age"

"truth in advertising"

its possibly just a simple question "is it common for escorts to use a different age blah blah "

only thing is, if you have been escorting for 6-8 years then you would already know the answer to that which leads me to believe that its simply a loaded question. nothing unusual about that from the op.

I've got one of those (stage name) because I work at a very conservative firm. In some ways its reassuring to me to keep some form of anonymous front. I was under the impression that it was fairly common in this profession, to adopt names, that's why I was a bit surprised when a regular client of mine found out my given name and his reaction to it. So yeah my name is not jay1jay or jaydfw. ;)

Age, Stats, and Activities

I have been hiring escorts for almost 20 years, finding guys on the cruise for money in San Francisco, at bath houses (before HIV/AIDS) and then with the rise of the internet I went online. During all this time I have found that the best escorts tell the truth about who they are, how old they are, and what they will do with you, the client.

When I started paying it was because I was in a committed relationship (I still am and had my 30 year marriage confirmed yesterday in CA by the Court) and it was just easier and better to hire for sex and not pretend I wanted more. Now I am turning 60, put on some weight, and need to know that the guys I hire can deal with older, heavier, but still fun guys. Just tell me the truth so I can hire you or move on to someone who will work with me.

I want to know how old you are because I can make some general assumptions about your level of experience and interests. Guys like Tyger have years of experience and are probably really good at what they do. Younger escorts in their 20's may not have all the experience but may have a willingness, energy, and stamina that can be exciting. I have seen Kristian since he started in Houston and can only say that he has always been exciting and as he has matured he has only gotten better. The best session I ever had was with Enrico Vega in NYC and he was getting out of the business because he said he couldn't compete with all the younger escorts. What a loss that was because he was and probably still is one of the sexiest guys around.

If you use a stage name, that's perfect since you have a private life. If you lie about your inches, well that will soon become apparent. If you lie about your age, please be at least in the ballpark so I am not shocked by how young or old you are in comparison to what I was expecting. Bottom line, if you are a good escort, your clients are going to be focused on the experience and not the smaller details. Thanks for listening

Obvious indeed

A 44 year old escort saying that he is 35 is simply lying. I wouldn't want to patronize someone whose first words to me are a lie.

UPDATE: The above was my first response, but after thinking about it, I realized that I have known several guys who have shaved a few years off of their age, and it never bothered me. I understood that they had their reasons for doing it. Yes, 9 years is a lot, but if the guy can pass for 35 when he is 44, is anyone really being deceived? They got the guy who looks just like the guy they hired, didn't they? Now who is the guy at 44 passing for 35? I want his moisturizer!

Thank you for stating the obvious, Lucky.

Opps Steven you forgot to quote the rest of the post

:p;):rolleyes::cool:. Yep pretty obvious.

Okay guys. We've got Steven coming from Belgium to work in the US, and we've got David going from the US to Canada and then to Europe to work. That doesn't mean that you are at cross purposes, just that you are both willing to travel. There was a tv show about you guys once, called Have Dick, Will Travel. Maybe the sequel could be about the two of you. Your paths never cross, but your work is never done.

Anything relevant to the meeting is best to be honest about. Names and personal life are generally not relevant, unless it is a health question. Unless I am buying the airline ticket, I try to keep questions to general, who needs a name. In fact, I find myself asking fewer personal questions, I have found it to be more of an issue post-meeting and follow-up conversations.

I have seen an escort's life, was reviewed here in the past but has left this profession, ripped apart because a client posted an indiscriminant picture which was picked up by search engine and ultimately the escort was dismissed from his position and basically put on an unofficial do not hire because the gap in his records would be an admission to guilt and many questions.

This may be different for each client but like I have said the pictures and activities listed and agreed to are more important to me.

There are most things that most escort misrepresent about in their ad. Age and dick size.

I like more mature escorts over 30 so anyone who advertises as 29 (the eternal age) or older usually falls in range. In a culture and subculture that prizes youth, it will happen.

As for dick size, I am convinced most guys would not recognize 8 inches (the eternal size) from 6 inches. I've seen guys call my dick 8 inches when it is a bit smaller. I call it dick astigmatism. Dick comes out and their eyes blur.

Any ad you answer you must take stats with a grain of salt. It is usually the personality that makes come back not the stats. A 6 inches on a 44 year old who know how to use it is better than 8 inches on a 35 year old who does not know what he is doing.

Just my luck--I never have a ruler or tape measure on me at the crucial time--and I am a lousy estimator as to size :p

And a great name it is. Mine was Joe... Joe who? Just Joe...

I think David said it all, when he talked about appearances vs reality. In threads in the Deli that talk about me, a poster who has never met me said that I was older than advertised. But the client who 'took one for the team' pointed out that in person I am certainly what I claim to be. (That poster has commented negatively on another thread about me as well, without having met me, or knowing me in any way.)

I think that age, if it is used at all in escort ads, should reflect the person who is going to show up.

Somewhere in this thread also was brought up the topic of 'stage names'. This is rather silly, I use my stage name, as a porn model, if I used my street name or my legal name in escort advertisements no one would be able to find me. Very few of my friends even know the name that appears on my passport, unless a client is purchasing an airfare, there is no way that I would want that information broadcast.
