Guys, I just can't get over how easy it is to access and post here now. Editing, too, is soooo wonderful as well as immediate. If one fails to edit right on the spot, I think the system accommodates one doing it later! I luv it! -:)

Works for me!

Other than the font being set a bit too small... but as you see that can be changed... there is not much that I can fault.

I like the editing feature for all those typoes, mispelings, and erors in gramer that can be corected way after the fact...

Incidentally, I prefer to view in the linear mode... everything is so clean and tidy. Plus it is so easy to get to the most recent posting in a thread.

Quite frankly, I can't stand it. I much preferred the older format and find this cumbersome and confusing. (Please, no comments about my advanced age and inflexibility).

I suspect I'll eventually get used to it. Just wish things didn't have to change.

You can ignore people?

I love the ignore button! I only have it on two people, but the result is so pleasant.

I had no idea you could ignore people. Nice! Flame on!! Hmm - i WONDER who Lucky ignored. lol

I love this forum. It's a huge step up. Love the searches.

Josh.

p.s. You can change the font for your browser ("View", "Zoom" in Firefox).

Zoom In On the Nicer Guys

I didn't know that you could do that, so thanks for telling me. You can see that you are not on my ignore list!

I find it annoying that if I take a break to go to the bathroom or answer the phone and it takes a bit longer than anticipated, when I return I usually have to log in again. In the old system my log-in was good for about three hours. Is there a way I can change this?

I agree with OneFinger. I seem to have trouble making sure I am finding all the responses in a thread and making sure that I see them in order.

Also--I liked the old In/Outbox better because--when you sent something--it was automatically placed in your Outbox/Sent messages without having to check an additional box.

I never get logged out. Kinda scary .... in case someone uses this computer if I leave it unlocked. But I live on the edge...so what the hell. It never times me out!

I think the search features outweigh having an Outbox. Try clicking on your User CP... there's lots you can discover about yourself.

The biggest issue i have is how difficult it is to see new postings below a certain level. I hate seeing that 'More replies below currewnt level'. (I'm using Hybrid mode to preserve the logical structure).

What Display mode do others prefer?

(And am I overlooking a better way to go to the new postings in context?)

Where's the additional box? I can see my outbox messages from the old days, but anything I've sent lately just seems to disappear. I'm starting to feel like Longfellow.

I shot an arrow into the air,

It fell to earth, I knew not where . . .

There are some things I really like, like showing how long ago a certain reply was right under the name in each post. However, I have a terrible time finding recent posts. In the menu, I see last post as being say 4 hours ago. So, I select that thread to look at. Now, finding that last post is sometimes impossible. I can only find the latest post of say 2 days ago. It is very very confusing.
