Minneapolis Bars with Dancers

Minneapolis

Recommended Posts

I know there are a few folks who make it out to Minneapolis--so I thought I'd pass on the following info for everyone.

Brass Rail: Currently this is the best place for dancers in Minneapolis. Portfolio studios provide the dancers on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am. The bars in Minneapolis are open until 2:00 a.m. and some of the dancers stay until about 1:30am. There are always 3 dancers who strip down to a g-string. One dancer is on stage pretty much all the time, while the other two dancers mingle with the patrons. Basic touching is allowed, but you can't put your hands in the g-string of the dancer. You can, however, grap a feel on the outside. These are my favorite dancers because they range from twink to muscle-bound Gaiety type guys. They are good at talking with the patrons as well. Everyone (dancers and patrons) always seem to be having a good time at the Brass Rail. Its just a fun bar.

The Gay 90's: This bar is the mega-gay complex that has been around for years. They have always had dancers there on the weekends. In the early 90's, they had dancers every night and they would mingle in the crowd. Now they just have two dancers on stage in the main bar, and two dancers in the Annex (an exclusive room for men only). In the Annex they dancers are on platforms and you can get a little closer to them. The annex also has some hot gay porn going on several screens. The dancers never mingle off the stage or platforms, but you can get closer to them in the Annex. As a bar, people have mixed feelings about the 90's. When hanging out in gay bars became chic for the straight crowd a few years ago, the 90's started to cater more to the straight folks and snuffed many of their loyal gay patrons. They had a falling out with memebers of the gay community when they didn't take a strong enough stance on straight folks who were visiting the bar and making derogatory comments about gay people. Even the major gay periodical "Lavendar Lifestyles" wont list the 90's as a gay bar. I still enjoy visiting the place.

Salon: This is the hottest gay dance bar in Minneapolis. They don't have dancers, but they do have an occational visit from a porn star. Check Lavendar Lifestyles to see if anything events are scheduled.
