Most Dancers are very muscular with a few twink Dancers. At the center of the Bar is a large stage contected to 2 smaller stages on each side by a runway. 3 dancers come out at a time and dance to a 3 song set (played by a live DJ) switching stages after each song. First song Dancers strip off shirts, Second song they strip to underwear or G-string. Third Song they dance completely nude but DO NOT show erections. The dancers then roam the bar for Table Dances. There is a VIP Lounge and Rooms located to far side of the Bar. Table Dance and VIP Lounge Room Cost: Nude Table Dances on the Main Floor: $10.00 (No erections or touching) Nude Table Dances in VIP Lounge: $20.00 (plus $5.00 to enter Lounge) VIP Room Rental: 15 Minutes $40.00 to bar and Minimum of $60.00 to the Dancer but all requested $100 30 Minutes $60.00 to bar advertised but charged $65, Minimum to Dancer $100 but all requested $200 The VIP rooms are very large and formed by walls of Glass Block that go to about shoulder height. Each have a platform for the dancer and a large sofa for the patron. The friendliness and ability of the patron to touch the dancer varies greatly by Dancer. (Note: A large part of the clubs patrons are Female (about 25-30%). Most of the Dancers are Straight and therefore pay a great deal of attention to the Ladies. During my attendance 2 dancers were giving Free table Dances to a table of Females next to me,while charging men for the same privilege. I never saw a female enter the VIP Area.) Interesting that they can have total nudity combined with serving alcohol, though. Most US jurisdictions don't allow that. Are there any other strip clubs (m) in Atlanta? He seemed quite genuine about it; does this kind of thing happen easily there? I love hot backroom type places where everyone can just relax and get off and have fun; there used to be more such places around. Can anyone tell me whether Swinging Richards is that kind of place? Still a good mix of Dancer types but they seem to be more friendly than on some of my past visits. If in Atlanta, it is definitely worth a visit. All the prices quoted above still stand, Thursday nite is two for one night. $10 for two to enter and addtl $10 for two to VIP room if you want. Some standouts: Tyler - amazing body, friendly and very interactive in private room Antonio - very sensual and hot italian twink Marco - while not the cutest definitely very interactive Paul - great Asian muscle guy, very fun and friendly Many guys spend most of their time in VIP room where they get $20 per song and get more touchy feely. Some girls two nites I went but dancers were not paying more attention to them. Can get pricey for drinks and dances, moderate yourself. Drinks were $3.75 for beer and $7-$10 for mixed drinks but they are doubles in large cups. As with all clubs some guys are pushy some just give attention to get what they can. There I met an interesting fellow patron that I really liked he was there the same two days I was there Wed and Thurs, all I can say is that if there were more people like him in the world (nice in personality, and looks, kind, etc.) then the world would be a far better place. We talked for two days (nights off and on in the bar) but sadley nothing happened, which is OK, cause I think if I saw him again I don't think he would run away - which can be a lot more satisfying than a cold shoulder. In fact I suggest (my personal rule which is.... Rule #1 That no matter who you are when you go to a bar and you don't know anyone there you TRY to make it a point to talk with ONE 'real person'. Make it a rule and you will never, ever feel like you threw your money out the window. The dancers, though cute don't count, unless you are a regular !! If everyone followed my rule there would be two less lonely people in the world. I tipped my hat a little by mentioning this site - but I got the name wrong - I told him it was hooboys.com - so he will never see this....but I digress. As I said I was really enjoying his company, but I was able to take some glances at the stage ocasionally, he was watching too and of course we were playing the game of 'who do we like' and 'what do we like'. Fortunately Swinging Richards has it all - everything from the young college guy's to the muscle boundish - but not too much, thank God. I would say of the 12-15 guys 'performing': 4 were thin/young lanky. Four were of medium build and the rest were big, tall and worked out ( read: muscular, defined). And a few were even (gasp) hairy, gay's don't have hair. I would say 90% of them are NOT gay; perhaps even 95%. Wednesday had a $5 cover the beer was about 3.50 and the strong mixed drinks (which put me on my butt - so I only had one) was a bit more expensive , could I be right in saying $6.50 or so. The bar tender was wonderful, and when I switched to water for the rest of the night was very nice about me not drinking anything but water - from a cup. Thursday had a $10 cover, it is two for one so I let a stranger come in with me. I feel very comfertable there not only because it is out of the city, but also because hit has a well lit parking lot, $3.00 parking fee. My concern though is that Atlanta is growing 'around' it, IKEA is just around the corner with some very posh condominum's/appartments. So I hope the bar will continue stay opperational; I like the fact that it is becoming a neihborhood bar. It would be nice for their community to see our community. I forgot to memorize the cost of the VIP rooms themselves; but I prefered to get a lap dance in the vip area so that is about $10 to get back there and then $20 for each dance or so. The dancer did put a little push for the VIP room (and I was tempted) but something about how they are pricing it just makes it mentally bothersome - I prefer how they did it at Heat in D.C. one set price for a set time period. Just so you know I made it right with the dancer so he got what he would have gotten had we gone in the back room, yes I am a bad bad person. This might be my last posting....so for people who have never been there before I would suggest it. If you have never been to Atlanta before (I have only been a couple of times) then I strongly suggest that you follow this link, and read up http://www.davidatlanta.com/ before coming. There was a 'couple' who found there way to the Bar but didn't know of any other place to go in Atlanta, hard to believe, but I think they were trying to figure out which bar 'they' would fit in - the nice thing about Swinging Richards is everyone is a horn' dog so everyone fits in. Oh and the thing I learned from them quote: "everyone checks there pride at the door, including you when you come into a bar like this" -- perhaps I found my second Rule I'll have to work to formalize it, later. I am sure I left a lot of things out - perhaps I will post some other thoughts later. Parking out side cost $3.00 It cost $10 to go into the VIP area... Wed is $5 cover Thursday is 2 for one, I believe, - so hang around the door and wait for someone to come in and then you both pay $5.00. Friday I paid $10 Saturday I paid $10 The beer is about 4.50 a bottle - after a couple - I switch to tap water and the bar tender never gives me any trouble about that - which I like - because I don't drink and dive at all. So long as the dancers are there that you like it is worth it otherwise... There are two other dancers there that I like other than Ryan and Cameron....no make that three.... One is a tall, tall dancer at times he wears a bandana and sports a Prince Albert (there is another guy who has one)...but he isn't tall and lean... Another dancer is well shorter, younger and break dances occasionally, very nice as well. Finally there is another dancer - sadly I never get there names who I liked - strait but always wore the perfect pair of underwear to match his body type he said it came from American Apperall store....I got to find a store like that....though I don't think I would quite do the underwear as much justice as he did. The rest of the other dancers were pretty much big and bulky... Part of me is glad Atlanta is so far away otherwise I would be broke, the other part is sad becuse I always have a nice time there....though it would be nicer if I did not always leave alone.... They had the same dancers both nights with the exception of 3 additional dancers on Sat. One or two I recognized from my last visits other than that they were all new to me. The dancers who tried to 'chat me up' were are very polite and when I declined to do any lap dances with them were just as gracious when they left me. Unfortunately I tend to 'target' the one or two that I like - slim, non-muscle bound dancers, swimmers body - and focus on them. Lap dances in the back area, not the 'real' VIP rooms. I was saddened, and actually happy, - that two of my favorite dancers - Cameron and Ryan - appear to have 'left the life' and moved on though I do hear that they are in the area they have gone on with other endevours, which I like as I think people can't rely on their looks too much. The two which caught my eye this time were Riley and - I think - Brent. They had the body type I wish I had, the rest ranged from tall and athletic , to short and beefy-muscular. All in all about 15 dancers or so. Saturday had the biggest crowed but started to thin out around 1:30 or so but it was still pretty croweded even then, I left around, say 2:30. Parking was difficult when I got there around 12:00 so keep that in mind better to get there around 11:00 or so before the crowed kicks in. Guest Tinkerer9 Posted August 19, 2010 Share Posted August 19, 2010 FINALLY got a business trip to Atlanta, so I could finally visit the Holy Grail: Swinging Richards!! Unfortunately, the best I could do was about midnight on a Tuesday night, and as has been written elsewhere, Tuesday night is no-cover, so was so packed, there was no parking. Had to keep circling until someone left. But what a great place! The entrance opens up on a fairly large area with a long stage running down the center toward the bar. On this stage, 6-7 guys were dancing at all times, first shirtless and then, eventually pantless, generally! At the left end of the bar is a guy at a desk. If you give him $10, you get a pink wristband that allows you access to the area on the other side of the bar that runs the width of the place, The VIP Lounge. This long strip has some stools at the back side of the bar and some sofas. Stop for more than a moment, and a gorgeous hunk of male flesh will touch you and begin a conversation and probably tug you toward a seated position to get down to some serious body-contact! If at the far end, they generally get naked, though you do not. Very nice! But beware, because it's $20 for one song-time. The boys vary in their aggressiveness in this regard. If you're back there, you're going to get paid attention to! I loved it! To the left of this area (the back of the building) is the VIP rooms. These are areas made out of glass block from waist-high, up to about 6' or so, so no one can see over. These VIP "rooms" cost $40 and $100 for the dancer for 15 minutes. Security supposedly checks to make sure nothing like anal entry is occurring back there, and I believe that they do circulate. I could only afford one such session, and security didn't appear until the end of the time. The boy I was with was pretty spooked by the prospect of getting caught, so I suspect that checks do occur frequently. I spent a number of "dances" with about 5 boys, ranging from white to black, swimmer's-build to bulked-up. Staggering selection of hot studs! In total, I suppose there must have been about 25 guys there. My head was dancing by the time we were shoo'ed out at 3am. wow, what a night! I hope I have a reason to get back there! But I'm going to have to save up a lot more money! Of course, it's great fun to sit at a table by the stage and just watch the great dancing and displays of hot boys being revealed too!
