one more name I forgot

I forgot to mention that I had the pleasure of meeting Vincent..one of the infamous Marc Anthony's Vincents.. all I can say is that I was honestly speechless in his beauty.

Any recommendations on where to stay in Montreal? Have been bidding (unsuccessfully) on Priceline hoping to get Le Centre Sheraton.

Leaving out the first 'r'!

Gosh, apparently I have been doing that for about 20 years!

But it is never to late to learn!

Thanks!

Lurker... Nice report on the strip clubs in MTL. I was at Stock Bar on Monday night and Frankie was there. He's a really nice guy. Aaron was also in the lineup. Seems we have similar tastes. Coop

I've had pretty good success using priceline in Montreal but even better with hotwire.com. The prices are not quite as low but you can often get the Hyatt for around $70 which is a lot closer to the gay village than the other four star properties and a real bargain at that price.

The Sheraton is decent but if you're bidding for four stars in Montreal, the Loews and Intercontinental are the best wins; followed closely by the Omni.

Priceline must be hurting due to the high gas prices and the ripple effect of people not travelling (flying, driving, etc) to amusement parks or vacation and simply staying home this spring/summer.

I've heard good thing about Lowes hotel; however, I love the view from the OMNI Hotel on the 30th floor above the intersection of Peel/Sherbrook overlooking Mount Royal. Absolutely breathtaking and romantic.

This brings back good memories - I lived at the cornor of Peel & Sherbrook for two years - still miss it.

The OMNI also offers interesting views of the adjacent condos in the area. LOL

I've always been envious of the people who lived in the Golden Mile area as well.

It's sure to bring memories for a lifetime.

sorry, but no curtains in taboo. I think they are referring to the entire backroom area being curtained off from the rest of the club.. Taboo remains the last hold out to making the back more "private".. probably due to the troubles they encountered a few years ago with the police.

Am planning a visit to Montreal in a few weeks. Thought your report was great and will be very helpful when I get there. Since I've never been to a strip club before I don't know the protocol. Do these clubs charge an entrance fee or a cover charge? Do they have a full bar? Food? What is the process of getting a boy in the back room and what can I expect once I'm in there? What do they charge? Would welcome any and all input you experienced posters can offer this elderly novice.

RE: summer visit to Montreal

Stock Bar has a small cover charge on Wednesday through Saturday nights.

The other clubs, nearby, are:

Campus

http://www.campusmtl.com

Adonis

http://www.ladonis.com

Taboo

http://www.taboomontreal.ca

Each week, new dancers arrive at each club, and other dancers leave. However, please check the photos of dancers at each website, and get an idea of the boys who might be available. Once the boys get acquainted with you, you will learn what each boy will do and will do not during a dance.

For lap dances, $20 with curtain closed, and $10 with curtain open, the boys will ask you to dance with them. Also, the waiters will be all over you, asking for your drink orders. Some clubs require that you purchase at least one drink; water or a soft drink will do. Each of the clubs has a full bar.

Unless it's a special occasion, the bars are not serving food. However, several good restaurants are in the area between these clubs.

There are many other worthwhile sights in Montreal, check your tour guide materials.

Hope you have a great visit!

RE: summer visit to Montreal

Although they are dated, I recommend you check out the Strip Club FAQ section (at the top of the list of threads in this forum) and read all of the Montreal listings - Stock, Campus, L'Adonis, and Taboo. Ignore the one for the West Side Bar (I think that's what it was called) as it no longer exists.
