I visited Montreal for my 5th time since I began traveling there in May of 2005. This was my first time going so late in the year. The weather was very cold, windy, cloudy, foggy, and grey. It got dark around 4pm.

Monday: Taboo and Adonis had no dancers; however, a street rent boy recognized me from 2-years ago which was kind of weird.

Tuesday: Adonis had no dancers. Taboo had some really nasty dancers who just couldn't get a clue I wasn't interested until I physically removed their (groping) hands of my knee.

I ended up meeting a contact from Myspace.com which turned out to be splendid. A 19-year-old hot twink whom I've been chatting on-and-off with for 2 years (originally found him on craigslist).

Wednesday: Adonis empty, Taboo had about 6 dancers

"NATHAN" is the new gem at Taboo! All you twink-lovers ask for "NATHAN" (short for Jonathan)

(former gems include Cedric and Mathieu from "Spring 2005", Skylar from April 2007)

Hello,

I too went to Montreal last weekend (for the umteenth time) and it was great fun.

I waited to change money until I got to Montreal and saved about $40.00 in the process. I want to thank everyone here for all of their suggestions about exchanging money.

I went to all of the strip clubs but funny enough, I had the most fun at TABOO. I almost never go to Taboo as their guys are really not my type but this time there were a couple of cute guys that were pretty nice to have a few dances with.

I went to Stock as well but it was pretty dead and the guys were pretty boring for me.

I went to Campus and had a couple of dances there as well. The thing with Campus that really annoyed me (I never noticed this before) is the music that the guys were stripping to, mostly rap/hip hoppy pop music which I just cannot stand and really found it hard to enjoy myself. Some of them were even using it for their slow songs so I really could not spend a lot of time here. Most times when I have gone before the music was house remixes or actual ballads for slow songs.

A small thing I know but listening to this type of music really does not make me want to have any lap dances so I just had to move on.

I went to Adonis as well but stayed less than 5 minutes as the bar was empty ( 2 customers)

All in all it was a great trip and I cannot wait to go back.

Thanks again to everyone here for all of your suggestions.

:-)

I also can relate to the music issue in some of the clubs.

I'm certain its due to my age.

I'm writing a more detailed posting as my original post was lost due to "windows live hotmail" new spell check feature malfunctioning and losing my entire post. Always save your info before spell checking!

Well I got a good deal for a direct non-stop flight on northwest airlines from detroit to montreal for $335 roundtrip (plus $15 extra each way for an exit seat since I'm 6'4" tall, 350, size 16 shoes). The cheapest I ever had was last April on northwest for $240 roundtrip.

The guy at customs gave me a weird look when i said iwas here by myself on vacation and not meeting anyone. i told him iwas here for the food, culture ,and strip clubs. he wrote a 3-digit number i nred ink on ym customs form and some letters. i guess they scrutinize the customs form later. LOL

The Aerobus is only $24 roundtrip. It's nice to wait for the new "coach-style" aerobus, as the old aerobus is extremely hot and you will sweat inside them like a sauna.

I stayed at the omni and was in room 2102 with a spectacular view of mont royal. It was the most romantic room i ever had; however, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the hallway and your neighbors.

First night (monday) i went to the bank of Montreal atm on peel, then bought my 3-day subway pass at the peel metro station for $17.50. i think u can only buy the 3-da ypass at peel station and berri ugam.

i had diner at mcdonalds on ste catherine near taboo then went to adonis which was empty. No dancers. No customers. How can this place even stay in business? It was very cold and windy, but dry. As I approached Campus a street hustler recognized me fro m2 years ago and wanted to hook up but i declined. Campus was mostly empty, however, it had a couple dancers who migrated from taboo. It was mostly muscle so i left.

on my way to taboo there was a homeless guy with his dog sleeping o nthe cold pavement. if your homeless and cant take care of yourself, i dont see why you should have the responsibility of taking care of a dog. the dog had no blanket or anything, just laying o nthe freezing pavement. another homeless couple walked by with a huge Rottweiler.

anyway, monday night taboo was empty. it had no customers and one amateur dancer. i caught the last metro at 12:50 and went back to my hotel to eat my sandwich i had purchased at cafe depot on ste catherine by place des arts, however, it was the last sandwich the yhad and it was hard as rock. i trashed it.

tuesday i had a good lunch at the mall underneath the hyatt at a lebanese restaraunt. it was some falafel meal. then went to adonis whic hwas empty.

hooked up with this cute twink from craigslist whom ive been chatting with for 2 years. he was cuter and cheaper than any dancer. simply dreamy.

then had dinner at a seafood place called maestro svp on st laurent whic hwas horrible.

went to taboo tuesday night which only had a couple dancers, none were my type and some were pretty nasty/ugly and aggressive. i left after about 15 minutes.

i headed back to café depot to get my refund for my sandwich and the kid said he didn'to have the authority to give me a replacement sandwich (even though he had like 20 of them) and i would have to come back during the day between 10am-6pn. Good thing iwas staying i ntown an extra day!

wednesday i got up around 2pm after sleeping a shaky 6 hours cause my neighbor was blasting his tv till 6am and his cig smoke was seeping underneath my door wit ha swift breeeze since his window was open. keep in mind im on a 100% non-smoking floor. i never understood wh ysmokers decide to smoke on no nsmoking floors instead of getting their own smoking room?

i walked to cafe depot and talked to the manger who, after convincing iwas legit with my story, finally gave me a replacement sandwich. the nwent to the iga store and bought some chocolate for souvenirs/presents.

i spent some time at notre dame cathedral. the ycharge $4 for entrance. the nhad dinner at the keg in old montreal on saint paul. Hot greeter twink boy sat me down. The mea lwas good, but the steak was tough and i had to work at cutting it. Last time it cut like butter.

Adonis was empty again. Taboo was much much better. They had about 6 dancers including Max with his attitude and Kelly the waiter. I was interested i nNathan , however, Nathan always sat with his regular client. I recognized this client from my last trip in april and last year as well.

Anyways, Kelly sat next to me and was aggressive. I told him i was really interested in Nathan. So kelly tries to convince me to have a 3-some in the back room. I tell kelly i don't want to pay $20 for 2 dancers per song, id rather pay $10 to have just Nathan. At this point kelly gets mad and says i should pay him for "introducing me" to nathan and for talking to me for 30 minutes (which was really only 10 minutes).

i tell kelly i will take him in the back room when im done with nathan.

nathan turns out to be really skinny, hot twink. i think he might be a lil hispanic, but he was great in the back room.

Another dancer caught my eye but never got his name. he had dark skin and a perfect face. i never got the chance to find out because after nathan i grabbed my jacket and darted out of taboo before kelly could start to harass me. LOL

At this point it was 1:20am Thursday morning and a massive ice storm was starting. the metro was closed so i decided on my final nite in montreal i would walk all the way from taboo to the omni. it was picturesque beautiful.

snow was falling, xmas lights were everywhere, all the stores close at 6pm so there were no people o nthe streets, i had my free umbrella from omni, and it was jsut neat experience walking through downtown Montréal o n ste catherine with snow falling. the hookers were in their mini skirts and asked me to hook up with them ,but i loudly sid "sorry im a homosexual" and the people across the street couldn't stop laighing..then the hookers couldn't stop laughing ,and it was jus ta good time walking through the snow and ice with my shoes ruined cause the Montreal street/sidewalk plows had not begun to clean.

i stayed up all nite (on only 6 hours shaky sleep) t ocatch my early morning flight at 8:45am. i left the hotel at 5:45am cause of the snow storm. i was at my gate my 6:45am (2 hours early)

we boarded the plane at 8:15 and i sat on the plane another 2 hours before we had to de-board.

they wouldnt let northwest de-ice claiming the ice pellets would remove the de-icing fluid when the place accelerates o ntake-off creating unsafe conditions...and said it would be illegal; however, Air Canada was allowed to take off, land, and de-ice.

finally, at 12:50 we leave the gate, then spend another 45 minutes de-icing. i spent a total of 6 hours waiting before we finally took off (after being up ALL nite on shaky sleep the nite before)

then we landed in Detroit and had t owait another 15 minutes before our plane could pull up to the gate. northwest always is parked at the furthest gate possible. in montreal yo uhave to walk like 15 minutes before yo uget t ocustoms, and i ndetroit its at the farthest gate.

the baggage handlers were "chucking" luggage like pieces of meat onto the conveyer belt. and luggage were slamming to the concrete floor from the trolleys. if yo ucan make sure to carry-on your luggage.

anyways ,after spending about $1500 for a 3 day trip i decided its much better to visit montreal in june, july, or august. better weather, more dancers :)

Thanks for the journal. I have purchased 3-day Metro passes at Place-des-Artes, and think you can purchase them at any Metro station. For people staying longer than 3 days, it costs only $19 for a 7 day pass (only $1.50 more than a 3 day) however they are only good Monday - Sunday, so you need to buy a new pass every Monday. I bought one on a Saturday, and it was not good until the next Monday.

metro fare tricks

I deal with this by buying a strip of 6 tickets ("lisière de 6 tickets") to use until the Monday validity of the weekly pass. You pay $11.75 for the 6 tickets, saving almost 30% over the single ticket price of $2.75. Since I never use 6 tickets by Monday, I save them for my next trip (just as I save my excess Canadian currency from trip to trip -- looks like I got a real bargain last June!).

By the way, the tickets come in handy when you're taking someone without his own metro pass back to your hotel. (I know, I know: you always hop into a cab because you're horny and in a hurry, or you're afraid of appearing cheap. Believe it or not, with the younger guys whom I favor, the metro ride is a great bonding experience, and they consider it completely natural. I also love the small gestures of affection that often happen during the ride, gestures that would be unthinkable for me in public in the States. I'd go so far as to say that a young guy's suggesting a cab hints at mercenary traits that cry out "beware". None of this applies, however, when it's below 20ºF, raining, or snowing hard!)

>Actually you did well to change the money on Monday. By the

>end of the week you wouldn't have obtained even $280US as the

>Canadian dollar fell a lot during the week and is just

>hovering about a cent above the US dollar at week's end.

Actually I didn't do well. LOL

Looks like I would have fared better if I would have waited until the end of the week.

I would much rather exchange $280 USD for $280 CAD then $294.55 USD for $280 CAD.

Anyway, the attendant at place-des-arts told me directly that he did not sell 3-day or weekly passes and that they were only available at peel or berri ugam. The same thing happened to me in April.

Maybe it's a seasonal thing.

I'm curious if anyone brought a dancer/escort back to their hotel and then not be able to perform (get hard enough to penetrate) because you were too nervous?

Twinkboylover:

Your post has prompted me to make two comments.

1: Re homeless people and dogs. I have noticed that homeless people often have a dog with them. Don't forget that to them, the dog is their only family and keeps them company on long lonely nights. They always take very good care of them - getting food for the dog usually takes preferance over getting food for themselves. And the dogs don't mind the homeless state. They are not dependent on creature comforts, as long as they are with their master, their leader of the pack, they are happy.

2: A church charges $4.00 admission? Oh well I guess they have to find the $$$ to pay the awards the courts are granting to the alter boys they diddled for years. But I really think it is outrageous that they would charge admission to a church. No doubt they also want you to pay to light a few candles and leave some schekles in the poor box. What a racket......

Candles cost money!

So does the transmission of the prayers and requests to the right spirit.

Even the Internet charges to send your messages!

Right. I read your post too fast and thought you were buying US dollars. Since the Canadian dollar weakened during the week, since you were buying Canadian dollars, you would have been better off waiting. But then you wouldn't have had the cash to give the dancers. A bitch, isn't it! :o

>years now.

Would this not negate their tax exempt status? If not, it should.

Montreal Art museum?

Question:

I was walking on my way to the Notre Dame church from Place-des-Arts down Rue St-Urbain, just east of the 720 freeway, and on the right was a building displaying around 8 large paintings.

Does anyone know what building this is, and if the paintings displayed in the glass observation window are for sale?

I saw a beautiful painting, very simple, of an old-style bridge over water. I'm trying to figure out who the artist is, but it's hard to read his signature the way he signed the painting.

Plus it would probably be risky transporting a large expensive painting via airplane considering how "delicate" baggage handlers treat luggage.

But wow... that painting was breathtaking.

There are companies that will crate and ship the painting for you for a fairly reasonable charge. Try a Google search.

Or perhaps you can buy it without the frame. In that case, you could simply roll the canvas and take it as carry-on
