There are two changes to the lineup for the party on the 27 and 28,

Matthew and Calvin cant make it to the party and have been replaced by RENE and RAPHAEL....Well worth coming alone,

 

The line up is now as follows,

My favorites were Joe and David, the DJ's. Vito and Dave Angelo were looking good, but I didn't get a chance to spend any time with either of them.

I must say that I had a great time at the Party. I still missed the G on my annual trip to NYC, but this was a terrific substitute. Vito was body perfect and a real gentleman to boot. The DJ on the second night was HOT, he could have racked up with lap dances. I am terrible with names, always get distracted with other things but I had a good time with a "few" of the guys.It was great to see the usual NYC M4M'ers and to meet some new ones as well. Hope I can make it to one of the future parties.

NO MORE PARTY

 

Unfortunately the hostess of the "Private Partys" has declined continuing the partys.

 

There is a huge amount of labor and planing that went into getting 12 or 13 dancers in one place at the same time setting up the space, cleaning, and breaking down the equipment. (I now know why Denise was always grumpy on mondays) Dancers schedules seem to change on a moments notice or even without any notice.

 

The Hostess did a great job on both the partys, created an enviroment for an enjoyable and very professioanl party but now its time to look for a new space or a new location to do the partys.

 

If anyone has any ideas let me know...

I agree. Our hostess did a great job of pulling it all together. She mentioned to me her great frustration that many dancers did now show up. In spite of all that, I had a good time and it was worth my time to travel to NYC to attend.

I truly must agree with the others that she was a fabulous Hostess. She went all out to try to make it a total entertainment party. Sorry she can't continue the effort and now I am even more glad and grateful I got to attend.

The parties were terrific thanks to the lady in charge. I'm sorry they won't continue but understand expense and hard work it took to arrange them and how difficult it was. At least we have some good memories and expeiences while they lasted.

7 hours ??? That bus driver must be a pussy cause it takes me about 5 and I dont speed more than 10 miles over the limit which is 65 mph almost all the way there.

 

I go for work every month or so, but dont know how much longer that will last, since the program is only an attempt to give lip service to social reform, but Ill let you know. It would be cool to drive up with someone, although I am fully capable of amusing myself on the ride there. By the 2nd hour I wind up talking to myself and blasting the Kelly Clarkson CD and singing with the windows down...that is such a gay image, but I must confess it feels liberating.

 

Yeah, after my last trip to Montreal which was 1/2 work and 1/2 play, I too am feeling the sting of brokeness...I may even have to curtail my "once a month" hiring policy to "once every two months"

 

Gotta be thankful though that I have what I have...In my job I am usually surrounded by people who live way below the poverty level and many have kids too

I heard it was 7 hours and would jump after about 4....

I've driven to Montreal from Long Island with a friend or 2 many times.It usually takes us at least 7 hours.I think the drive is ok...we stop for a few breaks but its usually getting across the border that takes alot of time especially on a holiday weekend.

From LI it would take 7 hours depending on where you are on the island.

 

I live in Westchester and it takes me about 15 minutes to get over the Tappan Zee Bridge and in to Rockland county.

 

Have definitely made it in about 5 1/2 hours going at 80 mph...it took me longer the first time I went though (only gone twice)

 

What do I do on the ride Taz ? Lets see :

 

1) Go through my cell and call all the people Ihavent talked to for awhile,,,I have a Nextel so I can use the bleep feature even past Albany and sometimes even in Canada

 

2) I think a lot about the program that we are trying to implement in Montreal...dont know if its like this with everyone, but I come up with my best ideas when I have a chance to mull over theories and practical applications

 

3) I pray...ask God questions...if He answers back then I figure Ive been driving too long

I must admit that I have not gotten past "Breakaway" which is the first song on her album. I really do feel embarassed when I sing it, cause its one of those songs that some 15 year old girl with braces sings in her room, while she dreams of leaving her small town and making it in the big city...

 

I like Since You've Been Gone though, but dont know most of the words

 

As for not-for-profits, well...ehehehehehehehehehe, I could go on for days...what do you want to do ? Administration/Grant Writing or hands on stuff (therapy, social work, direct care worker)...you are in school now right ? Undergrad or grad ? Major ? Let me know...its funny but there are a lot of women and gay guys in social work...definitely a real need for male social workers, especially in the school system.
