Zipperzone, you're way off base on this one. The escort market is driven by demand/supply, and when the demand is high, the escorts play it for all it's worth. When the demand drops off, deals can be had, and nobody is getting "screwed". These guys are not salaried and are not "unionized", Thank God! Your example of a salaried worker getting a pay reduction in cold weather is irrelevant in this context.

The reason I posted is that $200 Canadian is so much less than what most U.S. escorts charge (it is usually at least $200 U.S.). And this guy was one of the best I've ever had (great face, body, dick, really into sex, not at all a clockwatcher). In LA or New York I think he could easily get $300, in fact he very well may get that at Gaiety.

 

I admit I was thinking with the little head when I was with Daniel. I ended up giving him a $100 tip in addition to his $200 fee on the first night because I had such a good time. I can understand how someone would want to tip for a good experience but IMO, a $100 tip for a $200 fee is WAY too much. Why should I care? Well, this only has to happen a few times and the stripper/escort starts to think he should be charging more. And he will soon be asking for more. And where does that leave the rest of us? I agree that $100 dollars is a big tip. I only gave him that on the first night and, at that time, I was planning to see him again. I was also on a high at that time from the incredible sex. On the second night I only offered a $40 tip.

 

His request for $60 for a picture when I saw him the second time made me feel a bit taken advantage of. I'd given him a lot of money and I would have appreciated it if he had not charged for the picture. But I'm not complaining; I had a great time.

I do not go up to Montreal often-- this was my first trip there in 2 years and Daniel was the only escort I saw. So I don't think I will push up rates.

 

There has been a lot of discussion about whether to tip escorts. The arguments against it seem to be that it will result in higher prices for everyone. I have an idea. The place where prices are really out of control are for overnights and weekends. From now on maybe everyone who is concerned about prices should adopt a policy of paying no more than $500 for an overnight and $1000 for a weekend. Afterall, that's far more money then these guys would make doing anything else (including seeing hourly customers).

I totally agree. I only had one overnight and felt I got ripped off. Essentially what I was paying the escort to do mostly was to sleep. If you consider that you would pay $200 or $250 for an hour and say you had sex once before sleeping and aging once in the morning, the rest was downtime. Except the meter was still ticking.
