HoJo Restaurant at the Gaiety

Slightly off topic:

 

I read several months back that on 12/31/04, the Howard Johnson restaurant at 46th and Broadway (below the Gaiety) would be closing and would be replaced by a "skate" store.

 

I haven't been there since November, so I wonder if anything has happened.

Cooper and I had lunch at HoJo a few weks ago and the food was pretty bad and don't even ask about the men's room. Still I'll hate to see it go as it's the last one around I think.

Good question. When Foxy and I had our final lunch at this landmark restaurant, we asked the manager when they will be closing, he said at 11pm. :-) When we asked again, he said that was just a RUMOR, then again, the manager is usually the last to know... Next time I'm in the City, I'll ask.
