This just in...

Mr. Anthony kicked off Montreal Pride Week in fine fashion. His arrival caused a backup at Customs and Immigration that had arriving international flights backed up on the tarmac for hours waiting to unload passengers. Seems that all the cute customs boys thought Marks travelling companion looked suspicious enough to warrant very close inspection -- over and over. Each cute agent took his turn escorting Sammy to the back and conducting a thorough search. Rumors were circulating that even insepectors on their day off were called in to beef of the inspection process. Good news, the customs back up seems to have cleared after all those thorough seraches produced nothing but big grins on the customs guys. Probably reflecting their satisifaction in a job well done. }(

Later that night...

I arrived at taboo late in the evening, having been on a mission of mercy with a new friend (as in... Lord have mercy, where have you been all my life!! ) , expecting to find Marc holding court stage side. To my suprise the court was assembled but Mr Anthony was MIA and that continued for a very long time it seemed. However, Firecat was stageside side, surrounded by boys, sporting a major grin as he watched me and my friend... well watching my friend enter the club. (Firecat gets thanks for the introduction, repaid with some fine southern pork BBQ I muled over the border for him that left him begging for more. Actually we were both begging for more, but not he same thing. I digress. :p ) It seems all heads turned on us followed by several dancers converging on us too. Had they missed me that much? It was only three weeks since my last visit. The all greeted me with a wink and the Montreal kiss- the-cheek routine and then were gone... circling my friend. :D

Moving on... Mark finally shows, emerging form the back room with a big :7 Yes, Mr Anthony is back home and loving it!! }(

... so many fine[/] boys, so few days... only six, and then there is my accountant. :-( How to hide these expeditures as charitable contributions. :o

LOLOL. I am surprised Tampa Yankee remembers a thing from last night. He spent the entire evening (at least while I saw him) in a blissful stupor after having what he termed "one of my top two life changing experiences." Yup... we waited and waited at Taboo for him to show (supposed to be at 8), and he finally did make it close to 11, with the Cheshire Cat grin all over his face (he even brought the devoured canary along with!) hehe.

Well Pride week began with a bang! Spent the whole night at Taboo and enjoyed quite a mix of seeing old favorites and trying some of the new talent. The atmosphere was great and the fun tremendous. I personally really enjoyed seeing old friends Jordan, Steven, Kai, Kevin, Criss, Ghislaine, Sebastian and others. Also enjoyed meeting Adam and Allan (both of whom are gorgeous), and look forward to trying Justin and Sammy (a different one than the one I brought),

Bobby Thompson and Sammy Case were some imported US talent at our table, and they really did their part to spice up the evening. Sammy was quite a big hit... as dancers and customers flocked around him much of the night. Eventually a bunch of dancers took Bobby and Sammy to Unity II to go dancing, and that was just about the same time that Tampa actually came up out of of his blissful stupor and was able to recognize me.

Today DickNLA, KyTop, Travis of Dallas, and Ryan of NY are due in... so our party will grow. Will post more as the week goes on, and our party will continue to grow with additions Campus Justin and Nicholas Atlanta. But for now, I am off to meet firecat for breakfast, as he went golfing at 6 AM this morning (about the time I went to sleep). Hmmm... golf or Taboo? I think I have to question firecat's decision making ability!

Guys Have a great time-sounds like a real hoot!

If you are looking for a great Bistro near the Taboo that won't break the bank try Au Petite Extra on Ontario at Papineau.Very cute staff, great well price wines, small but good daily menu.

Also the Ice cream shop across the park is FANTASTIC!!!!!Too many choices of creamy goodness-just like the Tabboo!

Hope to see some of you over Labor Day holiday.

Mark and TY,

Thanks much for the up-to-the-minute reports of what is going on in Montreal and who is where. Those of us who can't make it this week can enjoy your fresh reports and almost imagine we are there also. We appreciate your efforts very much.

Hey, hey the gangs all here. Or at least that is what it sounds like. I cannot tell you how much I miss not being there. It is almost gut wrenching. :) But, please do keep your stories coming as that lets me live a little bit of your fantasy trip. In other words, keep posting! Tell all! And, keep all the newbies away from Rene! :)

RE: Montreal Pride 2004 (and a message for houseboy)

Boy... do we miss you. REALLY wish that you were here too, Oz. It's great, granted, but not quite the same without you.

There are some AWESOME new dancers. Last night, really enjoyed time with Tommy, Adam, and Maxime. Also was very happy to see cutie Damien back last night. Yummm. My personal favorites up to now: Old dancers... Damien, Jordan, Steven, Criss, Kevin, Sebastian, Kai. New dancers.... Maxime, Tommy, Adam. I am sure I am forgetting someone, but that's who I can remember in my foggy state right now. Also loved Campus afternoons with Yummy Phil and a very good backroom with dance with new twink Kenny.

Tampa Yankee was MIA again, as has been his pattern so far on this trip, but he when he is around, he has the look of total unadulterated contentment upon his face. But even after arriving very late again from "previous engagements", he still managed to keep MANY of his favorite dancers happy. I took his photograph so I can remember what he looks like. hehe

Firecat spent more time in the back than I did last night. What's up with that? He lives here. Guess we are a good influence on him. And he says that we never do anything for him.

OHHHHH... before I forget.... a special message for Sean (houseboy).

You are lucky to have such a devoted man as KyTop in your life. The guy sat there and watched pretty unparalleled eye candy parade in front of him for an entire day without once going in the back. Knowing how these guys affect me, I gotta say... I was impressed. THat is true love.

It's been great fun so far. More today. Can't wait.

Glad you guys are having loads of fun in Montreal. I'm heading up for my 1st time next week. I wanted to go this weekend for pride but things didn't work out.

So guys tell me which strip club has the twinks and jocks with the best attitudes?

Price per dance and what can I expect during a private dance?

Also which bathouses are CLEAN and have action with the younger crowd. I'm not 18 but I'm not 70 either. LOL

Well since I had a morning flight today I said my good-byes to the gang around midnight. I'm sorry I couldn't hang around for the parade, everyone was looking forward to it.

It was great to see Marc Anthony, Tampa Yankee, and Firecat again and it was a pleasure to meet a new friend with DickNLA. It is always a pleasure to see Bobby Thompson, Ryan/NYC, and Travis/Dallas again, great young men and they always make the dinner conversations enjoyable. It was also a pleasure to meet Marc's other guest's Justin/NYC and Nicholas/Atlanta, very nice and intelligent young men. Tampa showed up with Luke Davidson/DC at dinner Saturday night.

As I walked back to my Hotel Saturday night, after leaving my friends at Taboo, what did I see coming down the street decked out in black and leather? It was Luke and Travis headed to a Club with Nicholas in tow wearing a polo shirt. Seems they didn't have enough leather for Nicholas to wear, but they had found a leather arm band for him and he promised to take off his shirt at the Club. I must say they were getting alot of looks from the crowd with their own little parade. I know if Firecat had been with me he would have suggested that I loan Nicholas my collar and leash.;)

Now guys give us an update on the Parade.

>how was the parade?

Reports to follow... MA is on the wing right now and I am cleaning up after the party. It was a late, late night and a very early morning. One more trip to Taboo to straighten out the chairs and take care of a few dancers that were neglected.

New find for twink lovers... Ralph at Adonis, 18, dancing 2 weeks, works nights. Recieved the seal of approval disgnated with the MA :7

Now it is nap time. :p

It's official... Montreal Pride 2004 is over!! Marc Anthony and entourage as well as my companion left early this AM litterally sucking all of the energy out of Montreal -- leaving a sleepy gay village all but dark, playing to the few insomniacs not at the movies. (DickNLA with Escort Ryan and KY_TOP left the day before but we perservered. :) )

Tonight Taboo was nearly empty with only six dancers showing up and not many more customers. Firecat and I stayed for an hour. I let him practice winning a few pool games -- confidence building is good for him. :+ We left to check out new twink discovery Ralph at Adonis, opened the door, saw an empty stage and a floor full of empty tables, so we called it a night. Ummm...I wonder if MA spirited Ralph out of town with him. :o

It was a great week though with 31-32 dancers at Taboo each night Wed. thru Sun. Saw many regular favorites with special mention going to Pierre-Luc sporting a new makeover as a complete blond and he is looking gorgeous -- I have never seen him better. I met some great new guys -- at least for me-- including Simon from days past. A good modern day model for MIchelangelo's David. Also new boy Maxim is a hottie and friendly and affectionate. Note that Felix, is leaving to return to school. He is a real sweetheart, great attitude and personality. I will miss him. Ghislaine, a long time regular at Taboo in his last month is looking forward to finishing school and moving on in private life. For those interested, his retirement party is slated Aug 29 at Taboo. Also, Kai, a real sweetheart too, is planning to relocate to Europe this fall. Among the newer guys I have to mention Allan who steals my heart -- what a sweetheart and so gorgeous too.

Many thanks to owner Claude, manager Patrick, doorman Frank and waiters Sammy, Stefan and Gerry, for treating us so well.

Also enjoyed Campus afternoons seeing Antwan my fav waiter and sometimes dancer, and dancers Phil and Vladimir. I got to meet the new twink Kenny courtesy of KY-TOP who treated me some backroom dances with Kenny. Thanks KY!!

And a big thanks to all the members of our party counting up to a dozen on some nights. The chemistry was very good for such a large group of people. Add in that mix many more than dozen dancers visting our tables during each night so it was really a lot of fun chemistry. Also special thanks to my non-dancing friends, Luke Davidson/DC and Montreal locals, P and J who generously shared their company with me in and out of the club.

All in all, it was a great weekend with only one disappointment -- A MAJOR ONE. OZ we missed you -- TOTALLY !! :(

One final note: the next Mark Anthony Montreal Twinkfest is set for Black and Blue week centered about the Columbus Day weekend. I'll keep an eye on things in between though. :p }(

>how was the parade?

There was some issue about rainy weather prediction for the parade. The day before, Montreal had torrential downpours and thunderstorms. Thankfully, that gave way to a nice clear and warm day for the parade.

I'm not in the best position to give a review as I arrived just as the parade was beginning and much of the fun and spectacle happens before the parade, watching the crowd assemble. With that caveat here is my take: in contrast to last year this parade seem to fall short in the areas of spectacle, hot boys on floats, gorgeous prancing drag queens and political controversy. Not one single strip club had a float. The leather crowd and the country line dancing crowd were represented. The parade seemed much more institutional and organizational in tone this year-- lots of politicos and organization represented. Even at that the gay swim organization wasn't even represented this year. :( They provided great candy last year.

I am unable to report on the post parade activities in the village this year as circumstances didn't permit me to tour Ste.Catherine for the sights and sounds. This was a real treat last year. Hopefully others who caught that extravaganza will report.

I have to concur with much of what TY has written above.

It was another great week in MOntreal. Overall, nothing's changed in terms of it being my favorite Adult Entertainment Center.

Had fun at the Parade... had fun hanging out with TY, firecat, KyTop, and DickNLA. Saw CTguy again, and met jaynnj for the first time. Also enjoyed meeting a great new "local" who enjoyed partying as much as we did, and that added lots of spice to our table.

So much to report... I think I will try my best to categorize:

1) Imported talent: It was great to see my old favorites Travis of Dallas, Justin/Campus/NYC, Bobby Thompson LA, Ryan NYC, Luke Davison DC, and Sammy Case FLL again. Gotta say that my first trip with Nicolas of Atlanta gets a HUGE thumbs up. In a setting full of diamonds, Nic was a crown jewel. Full review to follow.

2) New dancers: Several first time dancers for me (my last trip was a little over 3 months ago, an eternity for a strip club...lol). The most stunning "new" dancer is Simon at Taboo. I put new in quotes as he was there a couple of years ago and has returned to be likely the best looking person in MOntreal... LOL. He has a perfect body, a fantastic face, an endearing smile, and beautiful hair. Also really enjoyed Tommy and Maxime at Taboo... very sexy and interesting boys. Jordan has also returned, and he looked gorgeous, and is the newest featured model in the Village Voice magazine in Montreal. Travis of Dallas fell in love with Mathieu, so I better mention him, hehe. At Adonis, there was Ralph... very very cute twink, with a impish smile and toned body. Thanks to TY for finding this gem. He is starting school 8/4, though, and will be only an occasional dancer there.

3) Old favorites: There are sooooo many, it is hard to name them without forgetting someone. But of course Phil of Campus days is Hall of Fame material. Very special. Was also lots of fun to see Damien, Steven, Yannick, Criss, Kevin, Sebastian, and many many others from Taboo.

4) Bar ambience: Had a great time at all clubs. The energy was very high. STill like Taboo the best as a club where the dancers are friendly, upbeat, and not interested in hustling anyone. The back room rules still prohibited the nude dancer from sitting completely on your lap... and personally I didn't like this as this is one of my favorite things. But hopefully time will heal all wounds. Because of the big crowd, Sammy the waiter returned to do his shirtless serving, and Criss also helped out with the bar... and that is always a big addition. Thanks to all of the Taboo management for making it a great weekend.

5) The Parade: It was an interesting event. Not as much eye candy as I had hoped. And the pace moved along far too slow. But the mass convergence on St. Catherine's afterward was a sight to see. Great energy in the whole village.

Well I know I am missing lots of stuff. I guess the bottom line is that once again, it was a great time with great people. Can't wait to do it again.
