GAIETY LINEUP FOR THE WEEK OF 3.22.04

Freezing winds drove me into the Gaiety today to meet up with Cooper to see who Denise had lined up for us this week. There was some confusion with today's lineup. Hugo missed his flight but will be in tomorrow. Jose is filling in for Monday only (and quite a good fill-in he was too). Some serious muscle in this show.

Some details for my half of the show...

 

DEREK: The featured dancer also known as Eric. He has the handsome, square-jawed face and the body of a comic book superhero. This 27 year old dancer from Montreal has returned after a 3 year hiatus from the Gaiety. It sure is good to have him back. Derek doesn't dance in any of the clubs in Montreal, so don't look for him there. He has short, dark, spiky hair and an over-all look that reminded me of Jeffrey, the hunk from Quebec City. While not huge, Derek has a perfect body, each muscle solid as a rock and very defined. A great hard butt that shows this boy knows how to do his squats. Caught the Monday evening and the Friday midnight show and I must say that every dancer from Monday was much improved. On Monday I was beginning to think that the speakers near the stage were playing a completely different song because so many of the dancers were off beat. There were still some missteps but the energy level was much higher. Though I'm sorry that Jose was a Monday only show.

 

One thing, at the very end of the midnight show was a dancer who only had time for a second song and his name was Jay I think. I don't see him listed in your lineup. He disappeared before I could chat him up. Anyone got any details? Is he staying for the week?
