RE: FFF and his Non-Response Response - Once Again

>My my my! I think someone has developed a little crush on Mr.

>Gaucho. It's very sweet and oh so "sixteen years old".

Typical again. Trying to deflect attention from the facts and to derail the discussion by bringing in irrelevancies. And there is nothing in my post which suggests that. The issue is your faulty logic and inappropriate manner of response, not anyone's supposed crush.

AGAIN you sidestep the issue by ignoring the main point(s) and focusing only on a side matter, which you then try to blow up into something that looks like an appropriate answer, hoping to make everyone forget the real point. Bruno had been asked a few times before to dance at the Gaiety, but he had already scheduled commitments and wasn't free. So he *reserved* 2 days at the end of his visit for dancing at the Gaiety.

>>I don't know how much, and I myself have never done it.

>But

>>it is TOTALLY IRRELEVANT how much they get paid

>

>Au contrare, but it's totally relevant! It has been discussed

>before in these hallowed cyber-halls that the guys aren't

>making anything off their tips each night and what they are

>paid to antelope is minimal at best.

No, it's totally *irrelevant*. And if you are going to try to impress us with your "rare" erudite knowledge of French, next time please spell "au contraire" correctly, mon vieux. Apparently your knowledge of French isn't any less flawed than your understanding of logic. Your statement implicitly claimed that Bruno dancing (or anteloping) was *not* working. Working is working; the amount of the remuneration is *irrelevant*.

>It has been explained

>that guys are there to drum up business for "privates". So, my

>point was that it was interesting that Mr. Gaucho was doing

>something on a Saturday night that was actually COSTING him

>money since, to quote him, he was "working non-stop, around

>the clock".

Guess what, Fang. Private antelopes are also work and are also remunerated. And guys who *work* at the Gaiety expect to antelope *both* in public and in private. And their earnings from the night include remuneration for *both* kinds of anteloping - although they don't have to engage in both kinds, and either kind by itself is sufficient to qualify the anteloping as "work".

>The contention that he anteloped to give something

>back to everyone and show his appreciation for all the love

>and blah blah blah he received is nothing but hoo-ie.

Who made that contention?? Not me; *YOU* did. Do *NOT* misquote me and try to distort what I said. Nobody said he did it to "give something back" and/or to "show his appreciation" or anything equivalent. *YOU* made that up. I said "think of it as a farewell gesture and public finale" since you seemed to be so exercised about it. And that is not incompatible with his being very well remunerated for his time. I also said *before that* in the same place "he wanted to try out dancing at the Gaiety" and "he had been asked a few times to dance there". He had not appeared in public before while he was here, and he decided that he would do it for 2 days just before leaving. "Public appearance" + "at the end" = "public finale". (You might also take cognizance of the fact that antelopers usually appear at the Gaiety for a week or more at a time, not for only 2 days.) And it was nothing new for him, since he has anteloped at clubs in Brazil.

>...Mr. Gaucho was doing

>something on a Saturday night that was actually COSTING him

>money since, to quote him, he was "working non-stop, around

>the clock". ... If he

>could have been making $400 in private, he wouldn't have be

>anteloping in front of larger version of the card game from

>"Sunset Boulevard".

Well, we've already seen more than once that what Bruno was doing (anteloping) WAS working. So the supposed contradiction that you are trying to point out doesn't exist. Furthermore, as I have already pointed out, appearance as an anteloper is not incompatible with being well remunerated, and Bruno's anteloping did not in any way *cost* him money.

Au contraire (see - that's how it's spelled), he earned as much as or more than he would have otherwise. His rate for an overnight was $1000 and he earned in excess of that, in less time. But even if he hadn't, Bruno does what he *wants* to do, and as I said before, "he wanted to try out dancing at the Gaiety." Maybe that's what antelopers want to be able to do when they come to New York, just like actors want to appear on Broadway and tourists want to go to the top of the Empire State Building. The Gaiety is, after all, known world-wide and I suppose there is a certain cachet (another French word - look it up in your Larousse) attached to being able to say "I danced at the Gaiety." It will probably be good advertising for dancing in Brazil.

>I'm going to Brazil in March and I may look up Mr. Bruno - at

>a greatly reduced rate.

You might be surprised.

>Transatlantically yours,

You *will* be *VERY* surprised if you try to go to Brazil "transatlantically".

Correctingly yours,

RE: Bruno Gaucho at the Airport

Little did I know when I first saw Bruno at the G that there would come a time when we spent the night together. I am happy to report that Bruno now speaks fluent English with the most charming accent.

Well, we did spend the night together...he was on the same flight to Rio that I took last month. (He slept in his seat and I slept in mine! hehehe)

The flight was delayed for hours. But it gave me a chance to get to know Bruno a little better. I thought he was a really nice guy and wish him the best of luck!

Lucky, it is a little obvious isn't it. He recongized you by your wit and deftly slipped into his friendly escort persona act that they all have. ;)

Lucky - Living up to your name, again, I see. Didn't you have the same kind of a flight experience with at least one other gorgeous man a while back? Ah, well, there are no accidents, or coincidences and God/Universe knows that you like sweet eye candy. Love, Blade

Actually, I recognized him first. He was talking with two women. When that ended, he either slipped into escort mode and made himself available, or else he truly did recognize me from the G. Either way, he remembered our meeting there. He's very sweet.

Sorry Regina, he is not dancing at the G. We were on a plane together going TO Brazil!
