For quite some time I was a "lurker" and remember one meltdown that really surprised me. I believe the thread was about inexpensive hotels and was started by a well-known escort.

 

One poster responded to a comment and the escort replied that he felt the response was getting off topic. The poster responded to the escort in terms not nearly as harse as things I've read in the past 2 months (and he didn't violate any of the newly established rules). The responder apparently pushed a hot button for Hooboy who said he had cancelled the responders account.

 

Haven't seen the responder since and assume Hooboy's comment wasn't just an idle threat. I don't recall other posts by that responder that were even borderline hostile. It was the fastest and most surprising meltdown I've ever seen.
