Okay, we all have those songs that just capture the season for us. Here is a list of mine

1)Santa Baby-Eartha Kitt (This is my all time favorite-such a materialistic song-what gay man would not love it)

2)The Christmas Song -Nat King Cole (This needs no explanation)

3)Chistmas(Baby Please Come Home)-Darlene Love

4)Merry Christmas Darling-The Carpenters

5)All I want For Christmas -Mariah Carey

6)Hey Santa - Wilson-Phillips

7)Anything on Barbra Streisand's Christmas Album

I know that there are a few more but that is all I can think of right now.

Happy Holidays!!!!

Many of those listed above, too, but you know I have a classical bent:

Allelujiah Chorus

Unto Us a Child is Born (where all of those booming basses (hit you right in the gonads) are proclaiming some of the more regal names for my Lord)

and almost all of the classic hymns - Away in a Manger, Adeste Fidelis, Oh come oh come Emanuel, etc. etc.

Scarlet Ribbons (don't hear it very much any more - Wonder if it can still make me cry even though I know its a sucker punch?)

Not lame at all. Most Christmas music gags me, but I love that Mariah Carey song.

I’m also really liking Destiny’s Child “Here comes Santa Claus.” It’s still Christmas cute, but has a great beat. Not being a big fan of these songs…does anyone know if this is a remake of a classic song or something brand new?

Happy Xmas (War Is Over) - John Lennon & Yoko Ono

I Believe In Father Christmas - Greg Lake, Emerson, Lake & Palmer

Santa Claus is coming to Town - Bruce Springsteen version

Father Christmas - the Kinks

White Christmas - Stiff Little Fingers

Homo Christmas - Pansy Division

Merry Christmas (I Don't Wanna Fight Tonight) - Ramones

Silent Night - The Dickies

Plus Cheetch & Chong do a loaded Christmas song, I don't know the name of it.

Cheers! Ritchie

I haven't heard Destiny's Child's version of here comes Santa Claus, so I can't be sure, but there is an old standard by that name, which has been updated in covers by a lot of people over the years. So, yes, theirs is probably a cover, too.

I heard a song today that instantly became one of my favorites, "Osama Got Run Over By A Reindeer".

"There were hoofprints on his turban/

And a reindeer antler up his...ho,ho,ho"

But, seriously, my all-time favorite is "The Little Drummer Boy" performed by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Also, any music from The Nutcracker.

Merry Christmas! Happy Hannukah! Happy Kwaanza! Happy New Year!

Oh, Wet, you make me cry with laughter. What great song titles. Are they really actually songs? And, when I visit you sometime soon, I hope, maybe we can make a tape.
