Yes I know that the Web site and Message center has been moving slow. It's a complicated problem that requires some patience and

work.

 

In a nutshell, over the last two months we've grown to the point where I need to rearrange hardware and add some horsepower to the computers. While I'm at it, I'm also doing the yearly "let's upgrade the Operating Systems."

 

Just like two years ago when we peaked out, it'll take a while to get everything up to a new level of performance. It'll take some hardware upgrades which are ordered and some software tuning to smooth out the hot spots. I'm working as fast as I can, but it will take time.

 

Remember that most of "Daddy time" is completely voluntary, and I really do have to earn the bacon, or the power companies turn the lights off. To complicate matters, we're rearranging our backbone connectivity and our current carrier is working at a mind-numbing slowness. The only thing we can do, is practise patience.

 

It use to be that I had a couple of blocks of time where I could sneak in and do my work. That's no longer true, cause there is

enough of you that the system is heavly loaded 24x7. The worst times are from about 4am-8am PST. So those of you that are favoring the night time hours are in somewhat better shape.

Remember, that I end up buying the servers and the upgrades....and Daddy is giving me this stuff and the HUGE bandwidth that I eat every day at BARGAIN BASEMENT prices.

 

(Folks who know me, are laughing because they know I do not know what a bargain or a basement is....)

 

But Daddy is my hero and I will look out after him first and foremost. We all have to eat. Fortunately, I eat much less than Daddy! }(

You and I have a good thing going. With your help, we can keep it going forever but I wanna make sure our Daddy is well fed and happy.
