I'm planning to go to South America (probably either Rio or Sao Paolo) and would like to spend my time with escorts. I like white guys. Latinos like Ricky Martin are fine but I've never been attrached to black guys. I'm planning on spending time in the saunas I've read about here. Which city would be best? Also which city would be good if I want to find a guy to spend a few days with?

thanks

To answer the question I agree with Nycpaul, Brazil would not be in my top ten picks if I was looking for Caucasian guys. There are one or two blond guys in each of the saunas, and there is a fair number of Portuguese,Italian, Spanish looking guys, but most look Latin and probably around 20% are black.

I Disgree with the statement about being a racist! Having a preference sexually for only White, or Black or Asian does not make you a racist! I have friends who all have these individual preferences, including both a Chinese and a Black friend who only date blond white guys! All are friends I know well and they are definitly not racist, but sexually they are only turned on by specific type, so I suggest saving the racist rhetoric for a discussion in the Lounge area.

Although only liking big dicks does make you a size queen! LOL

Another thing to consider is that many Cariocas really work on their tans, and unless you see them without thier sungas, it is hard to tell how fair-skinned they might be and how much is from tanning. Many of the guys at the saunas are quite tanned, but also many more of fair from Curitiba, Porto Alegre and points south.

Brazil is one of the most racially-mixed countries on earth. Far more so than the U.S. You will see people of every hue, and stunning combinations that you never imagined. You may think you only like white guys, but you may find yourself attracted by other men in Brazil, as well.

Those not familiar with Brazil should understand that while prejudice and racial discrimination exist in Brazil (discrimination is illegal now, BTW) it's less overt than in the U.S. Brazil doesn't have the kind of cultural and physical separation of the races that exists in the U.S. Afro-Brazilians don't speak a distinctive dialect or behave differently than other Brazilians, nor do they tend to want to hang out only with other black Brazilians. Afro-Brazilians tend to be poorer and less well educated than "white" Brazilians, a legacy of Brazil's slave past, but that's really the only difference between any other Brazilians. Keep in mind that there are also millions of poor people in Brazil who are white or mixed-race. You also can't assume that all blacks you see in Brazil are poor. There are many middle-class blacks, and there are black mayors and governors, business executives, professional athletes and entertainers, academics, supreme court justices, etc.

The most "African" parts of Brazil run from Rio northwards to Recife. These were the parts of Brazil where sugar cane culture thrived and slavery was economically viable. There were also many African slaves in Minas Gerais, where they worked in the gold and diamond mines. For centuries, Afro-Brazilians far outnumbered European colonists in these regions.

The region south of Rio (including São Paulo) tends to be more "European," because there was relatively little slave labor there. Southern Brazil was the focus of massive immigration from Europe at the end of the 19th and the first part of the 20th century. Hundreds of thousands of Italians came, along with Spaniards, Portuguese, Poles, Germans, etc. So did thousands of Japanese, who form the largest Japanese community outside of Japan. You'll find the descendants of all of these immigrants throughout the southern states of Brazil (São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul). You'll find quite a few guys of Italian or German or Polish descent working the saunas in São Paulo and Rio, not to mention the ones in Curitiba and Porto Alegre. This doesn't mean, though, that southern Brazil is "all-white." There are many people of other backgrounds in all of the southern states, just like everywhere else in Brazil.

Just for the record, "Latin" is neither a racial nor a color designation. It's an ethnic descriptor. From a racial standpoint, Ricky Martin is Caucasian (at least as North Americans classify people racially -- Latin Americans have very different criteria). "Latins" come in every color and shade, from Nordic pallor to Japanese/Chinese/Korean "yellow" to African "black," and every possible mixture of the lot (people have been very happily getting it on together in Latin America ever since 1492). One of my personal favorites is a type frequently seen in northeastern Brazil: drop-dead gorgeous guys with coppery-bronze skin; extremely chiseled features (often with deep cleft chins); traces of African ancestry in their hair, noses, lips, and dicks; and the most breathtakingly light, clear, sea-green eyes. . .

Once again a reminder about being SURE that anyone you go with is 18+. Go only with guys who work for a sauna or an agency, or check IDs if there is the SLIGHTEST doubt about anyone else! The Brazilian newspapers just reported the arrest of a long-time European resident for being involved with underage guys. Almost anything goes in Brazil, but there's pretty high consciousness these days about sex with minors, and people (even prominent figures) get busted and prosecuted. Unless you want to star in your own version of "Carandiru," be extremely careful if you're attracted to younger men. Just one mistake could subject you to blackmail and worse. Much worse!

Now that you're well-warned and informed, have a great time! ;)

>Certainly Rios latinos come in a variety of shades and you

>should not have too much trouble finding the lighter shades

>you like.

After recently being in Sao Paulo and Bahia (Salvador)and currently am in Rio, I noticed a large number of men in Sao Paulo were of the lighter hue, especially at Lagao Termas; in Bahia (the Black Rome of Brasil), the majority population is black, so to speak. In Rio there is a mixture.

I agree and support Tom´s and Driver´s stances...

Last evening at Club 117, you could have had your pick from a variety of colors, sizes, etc. The same holds true for other saunas in Rio, so to ask where you´d find your type, it exists but in smaller numbers.
