tomcal and tri - since you guys are going to be there before me - can you check things out with the atlantico dining room manager. since this is a 7PM to 10PM party - everyone maybe kind of hungry. I use the atlantico room service a lot and they do a nice job. I have meetings all day on Friday and am not going to be energized for shopping and carting food and/or beverages. Since a meal at the atlantico is only about 4 or 5$US - how much can soda, beer, and heavy duty snacks be? That way, the dining room staff can just come and get all of the remainders, ice, trash and stuff out.

 

I certainly am happy to have the party in the suite but dont want to be setting up, running, or cleaning up after.

Tri, I have some contacts to get Lakers' caps, I agree with non sexual gifts, I would like to look at this as a social even too. I am not worried about the drinks being drugged, has never happened to anyone I know except the two guys who picked up NON-SAUNA guys from the beach and took them back to their place. Guys like Anderson, Andre(god he's perfection), Juan Carlos, Evander, Carlos, etc, have all gotten me drinks and we have been alone with no one else around and never a problem.(Again they are all sauna boys) Also, that's the good part about hiring a bartender to pour all drinks, if I can get the one I know, I trust him completely, good guy,(and he's straight, but bartends at 117). I also agree, I don't need name tags, I will remember everyone! I know four of the guys already, so only have to remmber 4 or 5 more.

I had spoken to Gulliver last week about starting - ending time of the party, we thought 7:00 to 10:00. After several hours of drinking /eating I am sure everyone will be starting to get anxious about "retiring" to their rooms!! I think we don't want to Overplan this event. It's on the roof, by the pool, in Rio, food , drink and hot guys!! we dont' need to plan anything else, I think things will flow along perfectly with that combination and if anyone is not having a good time....it's only one block to Estacio which is open on Mondays!!

And for security sakes, please lock up all valuables. TomCal-Ho has a habit of picking up strays from the streets. Let's see, the guy at Maxims with no ID (ugly orange shirt)... the shaved head/Vin Diesel wannabe with bad teeth at Jabba's restaurant... oh the list continues... LOL. He had me worried the whole time we were there. He kept picking up hoodlums... I kept thinking "damn, TomCal owes me dinner... what if he gets stabbed to death... " Gotta have my daily jab at the SlutMeister.

Lakers caps are a great idea. I could give Tom celebrity autographs, but what would a sauna boy do with that? Stick with clothing or electronics... I think they would appreciate that more.

I should explain the last post from LAShowbiz...For all of you who were not around this board last fall, LAShowbiz and I met before I went to Rio last Aug. We both live in L.A. and the one thing I never expected from this board, was meeting and becoming close friends with guys from here. but it happened, LA and I and another guy who went from S.F., all became very good friends as a result of our trip to Rio. We have been out together many times since we returned and I do consider him a very close(but nasty ) friend! Saying that, just because I did more then one guy a day, he calls me tomcal-ho! Just because I ditched them for dinner to go to the saunas (after all, you can eat at good restaurants all over L.A., but you can't find rooms filled with Hot guys, all of whom are available!) btw, ask him about his experience with Anderson!

Well, I DO admit to a tendency to overplan trips and parties! So it's good to have a counterbalance here!

 

Tomcal, remember we're on for lunch at Maxim's on the 10th, at 2:00 p.m. We can talk then about the food and I can help you deal with the hotel about it and figure out what to order.

 

As for the rest, especially the security issues, I don't want to make anyone paranoid. I've never had any problems in 20 years of going to Brazil, but at the same time that probably has something to do with the fact that I've exercised reasonable care when I'm there. The point of my post was that we need to continue exercising that care even at a party where we've invited guys we think we know.

 

Just as a cautionary tale, last Wednesday night when I arrived at Club 117 there was a near-lynching going on down in the locker room. They had discovered one of the guys stealing from the other escorts' lockers. Evidently, they'd suspected this fellow for some time and had been keeping an eye on him. Finally, they caught him in the act. He was kicked out, and will be blackballed from all the other saunas in Rio. According to the manager at 117, this guy had been a regular escort there for quite some time, had worked the saunas for several years, has made some videos, etc., so this wasn't someone they didn't know who just showed up and started stealing from the other escorts. This is unusual, and the first such incident I've run into in all the years I've been visiting Brazil, but it highlights why it's important not to let your guard down completely when you're there. It's always important to use common sense!

Gulliver... start eating meatloaf everyday this week... you gotta start getting ready for "leftovers". I have to applaud you for agreeing to host the party, but if TomCal-Ho doesn't bag the party within the first 1.5 hours and ditches y'all for two/three/four sauna boys, I will be totally disappointed! TomCal-Ho is NOT one to be known to stick around when a sauna boy is nearby. I'm dead serious!! I can still envision him sticking us with the dinner bill (he left during appetizers when he spotted the hoodlum of the night)... such vivid memories!

Each day as I follow this thread, I grow more envious that 8 m4m guys and who knows how many sauna boys will be there on the 14th and I won't. In all the planning what's missing from the perspective of one will not be in Rio is "Who's bring the camera and camcord?" Now the mystery has been divulged and explained. Again, thank you very much!

 

I wish I'd known about you and your firm during last October; I would have been able to have spent my four weeks in Brasil with guides in the areas that I had arranged to journey. Perhaps in the spring of this year I'll be able to fulfill these experiences!
