I've been totally beside myself for weeks now because I'm so completely filled with anticipation for the Harry Potter movie. Remind me again, is this the one where he learns to felch with Uncle Fred or is this the one where he fists his dead mother in the family mausoleum?

Later.

Hum, without a whole lot of thought and off the top of my head I would say GHOST is my favorite movie.

I have probably never laughed as much or as often as I have at watching Bird Cage. I saw it when it was first released in theaters then bought a copy when released on video and continue to watch it when I need a good laugh.

I really liked Birdcage, but I liked the original French movie, La Cage Aux Folles, better.

I am looking sooo forward to two movies this coming couple of months (if you don't count Monsters). My lover is teasing me about Harry Potter big time. The other day he looked at the desktop picture on my computer and asked, with his eyebrow vocally raised, if that picture was from Harry Potter. I said, no, it's from Lord of the Rings!

The gutter and me, stud.

Later.

PS. You promise not to tell anyone about my peg leg and penchant for belching while blowing you in the new escorts only section and I won't tell anyone here about your nervous twitch and love for crotchless panties.

PPS. We sure have had fun with that peg leg though, haven't we?

I think that Hedwig and the Angry Inch is among the best of 2001, not a particularly great year for films.

You are definitely not alone in eagerly awaiting the Harry Potter movie as well as Vol. 5 of the series. I consider the books right up there with the Tolkien trilogy (I am also looking forward to that movie as well).

I totally agree Matt. I knew there was a reason I liked you. :-)

I have a friend that watches it at least 3 or 4 times a week.

Sheesh, I must be the only one that likes the heavy duty, make 'em cry, why don't we just end it all type movies....my faves are: 1) Schindler's List 2) The Killing Fields 3) Salvador

and 4) Awakenings . However, I do have a funny side, I round out the top 5 with Tootsie. My fave classic film is It Happened One Night with Rhett Butler and Claudette Colbert as well as the Marilyn Monroe flick Some like it Hot.

That's my 2 cents worth! Gabriel (from Missouri)

I agree with the poster who said 2001 has been a disappointing year for flicks....but I agree with Lorenzo that the best so far is: MOULIN ROUGE.

MY FAVES: Schindlers List, Most Star Trek films (especially FIRST CONTACT - though INSURRECTION was garbage), Sister Act (I don't know why - a guilty pleasure), Die Hard, Total Recall, Boys in the Band, Longtime Companion, Adventures of Priscilla, Wizard of Oz, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (childhood memories), All About Eve....

Am I queer or what?? :)

One of my favorite musicals is Victor/Victoria.

For mystery, I'll take any Alfred Hitchcock movie but particularly liked Rear Window. (How ironic -- my favorite sexual activity is playing the "rear window" of a hot twink.) }>

You hit the nail on the head that time, wet. Angry Inch has been a shining buoy of creative hope bobbing in a deep sea of ineptitude this year. An awesome flick. Perhaps the best musical I've ever seen.

Other faves:

American Beauty

Phantom of the Opera (the silent version)

Raising Arizona

All About Eve

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

The Thing (both versions)

East of Eden

Repo Man

If you're a fan of tear jerkers, you've gotta love Billy Elliott and Pay It Forward.
