...i have been wondering why i haven't been as motivated to write reviews as i have been in the past...i think it has to do with the disappearance of the older reviews in the transition from hooboy to daddy...alot of work and some love letters are seemingly gone for ever...anyone else feel this way?...i will try to do better with writing reviews on some of the newer guys i have seen.....because they have always helped me make my choices ...i hope some of you agree to do the same

I for one don't write any reviews for one reason, and one reason only. The overall quality of escorts,in my opinion, has declined dramtically. Years ago (probably 5 or more) it used to be a real treat and a qinch to hire someone. Now, most emails go unanswered, phone calls not returned, escorts ALWAYS late, top dollar requested, and performance, at best, is mediocre. I still hire mind you, but not as often. The "Greats", I fear, are gone!! Just my opinion....

I first found this site and started hiring escorts about five year ago. The entire experience was new to me and I found myself traveling around seeing escorts all over the country. When not traveling I was often busy writing reviews. During those early days I encountered various outstanding escorts who I have continued to engage. I, therefore, find myself hiring fewer new escorts and thus write fewer reviews.

It takes a certain amount of effort to write an intelligent and informative review. I usually like to give the review a clever slant or some sort, or at least try to make the piece be as entertaining as possible. Still, there are several reasons why I have not submitted any reviews of late.

First, I had a couple of submissions “fall through the cracks” during the transition period and that has discouraged me from contributing more actively to the review process.

Another reason for lack of participation has been a lukewarm response from some of the escorts themselves… now if I decide to write a review it is usually done from the heart and not for any special treatment… All I would be looking for in such situations would be a certain amount of respect, not necessarily anything out of the ordinary. However, when I take the time and effort to submit a glowing review and then have my emails completely ignored it is disappointing indeed.

Also, some of the experiences I have had in the past year have been mediocre… nothing I can really fault the guy with… so feeling that a neutral review would not accomplish much, I have decided to abstain in those situations.

Finally, and this is something I will correct in the future, when an experience has been “bad” I have decided to give the guy a pass. This was a mistake on my part, especially when dealing with an S&M situation, where “bad” can not only mean that you are dealing with a swindler but often can be synonymous with risk, and injury.

Being “Mr. Nice Guy” serves no purpose what so ever. If I had been forewarned by an honest review I would have never found myself placed in a dicey situation to begin with. Consequently, it is our duty to hoist up those “red flags” so as to alert others when warranted by the situation at hand.

When I found this site in its earliest days, I was excited to have the opportunity to write reviews on a subject that I had never written about before. I wrote a slew of reviews in the first weeks, many of guys whom I had hired months or years earlier (Hooboy allowed that then). In a sense, I got it out of my system.

Now I hire rarely, and almost exclusively from escorts who have already been reviewed here. I don't see much reason to review them, unless my experience has been notably different from the other reviewers' experiences, or unless the escort requests a review. I do think it is important, however, for clients to review new escorts, so that the kind of experience Whipped mentions can be exposed for future clients. I also think it's important to check the many requests in the Deli for information about escorts who have not been formally reviewed, and to give the information here or in a private message to the poster if you have hired that escort.

Man, does thinking about the early days bring back memories! I did pretty much the same thing.

I agree with this, but there are other conditions that can push the "should review" button.

In cases where the escort has a ton of uniformly good reviews but no *recent* review, even a "me too" review can be an important data point. It shows the escort is still working and still making clients happy. How many escorts have uniformly excellent reviews, but nothing in the last year or two? A lot can change (or not) in a year.

I think it's also very important to submit reviews when a guy has very mixed reviews. A full picture in those cases can only come about from tonnage. Patterns can become clear only with a lot of input.

As for requests in the MC, remember that traffic in the MC accounts for less than 10% of the site's total traffic so it's an extremely limited audience. Submitting reviews would be best for the most number of readers.

The Deli has been an excellent source of valuable information whether or not an escort has been formally reviewed. Indeed, before becoming a poster on this site, I used the "advanced search" feature to research what others had to say about individuals I was thinking of hiring. I encourage others to do the same.

In addition, private messages have been an excellent source of mainly caveats about certain individuals when there were "issues of concern" that many felt "uncomfortable" posting in a public forum.

I for one have been deeply appreciative regarding information (pro or con) received in both the open forum and in private communication.

I have stopped posting reviews on this site. Even though I rarely step away from my regulars, I just feel let down by the transfer of reviews to this site. There are way too many reviews that according to the management, are waiting to get up loaded into Daddy's Reviews.

You'd have to ask Daddy about the older reviews. He won't discuss review issues in the MC.

As for older messages, they should be complete (more or less) back to around 2000. That's the last time Hooboy botched the MC upgrade and buggered the database.

"Due to circumstances beyond our control, reviews that predate March, 2005 have to be reloaded from the database, and reprocessed before being put back on the site. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we are working to get these reviews back online as quickly as possible."

The above is what I still find on alot of reviews, as for mine from 2004 & 2005, they have yet to be back on line. That is why I stated before that I have stopped submitting reviews to this site.

Yes, I saw your statement. You're taking your toys and leaving the playground because the game isn't going your way. Got it the first time.

Apparently you didn't read what I wrote.
