For some escorts, 'retirement' means that they stop advertising/seeing new clients. In the couple of cases like that I know of, it was to avoid the BS associated with stalkers/non-serious responses to ads etc. But they'll keep in touch with known/favourite clients who may still be interested.

I suspect that most escorts would prefer to service a group of steady clients. It would eliminate the expense of advertising, the threat of police scam, the risk of a dangerous or unpleasant client, the uncertainty of payment, the risk of exposure for those who have another life, and would allow them to regulate their time better and have another occupation etc. On the other hand, I suppose some actually enjoy the adventure and risk of meeting unknown guys.

I regard the few approaches I have had of this type as similar to solicitations to refinance my mortgage: it means that business is slow and the guy needs some money. Coming from an escort's point of view, I agree with everything that was

said above. I know that when I decide to bow out from the working-boy

arena, I will do it in stages. I am sure there will be a extensive

period where I still see men that I already know - for all the

reasons stated in these previous posts.

 

And remember, the money may be great from escorting, but we get other

things out of it too. Good friends, great sex, the feeling of being

desired, the joy of giving someone pleasure ... all good stuff. So

don't assume this guy is just after your wallet. If he was simply short

on cash, he could easily "unretire," post an ad, and start seeing new

guys. Instead he approached you - which probably means he genuinely enjoys your company.

I would not be too concerned that there's something shady in a retired escort contacting you again. As many of the posters here have pointed out this is not an unsual situation. Some guys retire from the biz and soon discover they miss the lifestyle, not to metnion the cash, more than they expected.

 

Personally, I know of one escort that I have seen on a regular basis who has told me of his retirement plans. He indicated he was going to keep seeing only a handfull of old clients and asked if I was interested in being one of them. That was a classy thing to do IMO and of course I agreed. He could have just faded a way and not said a thing.

 

If you have seen this guy in the past and enjoyed the encounters, then I see nothing wrong in taking him up on his offer if you still have an interest. It's possible he's testing the waters for a comeback. Give it a shot and see what happens.

I never thought of that. A person gets lots of phone calls ane emails because he is offering sexual services....and then when he stops offering the services his "friends" dissapear or at least the circle of friends he has is dramatically smaller.
