Who knows? I think it is a courtesy to us to inform us about these things. There was another thread removed, but I could see why. And then a thread of mine got locked for no known reason.

But I love everything else about this site Hooboy!

Why was it removed? Thats a very good question. Well, its very interesting to me that Talvin wrote a newsletter today after almost three weeks. Its also reminds me that Talvin has "friends" connected to this site as evidenced by his winning the first Coverboy contest after he stuffed the ballot box with the newsletter fans votes and the message board post that followed that interesting sequence of events. So the answer to the question of why it was removed probably has something to do with Talvin having it removed. The next question is why?

I never saw the thread. I thought the ballot box stuffing was perhaps

unintentional on Talvin's part; he may not have realized that so many people would vote for him. Also, I like deej a lot.

 

But, his response to the hundreds of votes for Talvin over a weekend was pretty lame. Some thing to do with Talvin's newletter bringing a lot of new people to the Message Center.

deej often is the one who tells us what happened with a thread, so I hope he isn't tied up in some bondage fantasy that would prevent him from posting...

Now that he's in LA, maybe he's on the casting couch and can't get away!

No offense to anyone here, but this drama about locking threads get REALLY old for anyone who looks to this site for good recommendations. x(

 

I'm as "into" some of the posts here as anyone else, and I enjoy reading many of them, but, come one...isn't there a limit to this crap?? :+

But "It's All In the Game". And a game of fanatasy is all it is! Some people on this site, take the non-political threads, way, way too seriously! And some people take serious, non-escort discussions way, way too lightly, anything for a cheap semi-laugh or chuckle. Some people, no names, get offended when their pathetic attempts at self-promotion are correctly identified as such, and some people just want to spout their hatred at the world regardless of the topic. It is a frigging internet board, with all types of people, with all kinds of opinions, with all sorts of agendas to espouse and with all sorts of aims. LIGHTEN UP!!!! This is a site owned by Hooboy and he can do what he wants. Still when something like this is established it is quasi public and I love our first ammendment. This is just not right to remove posts to protect a friend or whatever.

Ok, let me see if I got this straight. You got antsy because Talvin hadn't put out a newsletter or updated his schedule for uhhh 3 WEEKS. And then when you posted about it he put one out. Hmm...

 

I for one am personally surprised to see a escort mailing more than once every 6 months. I subscribed to one who comes to Florida occasionally and I have never gotten anything from him. I don't get Talvin's letter but I assume he puts one out more often than my experience but c'mon give him a month for gosh sake.

 

I know a few guys here got their panties knotted over the great ballot stuffing controversy. First since Talvin is such a busy beaver putting out these newsletters your asking about he mentions he is up for an award. I cant count the number of websites I have been to that beg you to go somewhere and vote on their behalf. So then he tells his readers to vote for him. And since I guess he has a LOT of fans with time on their hands they do. Golly! Call the FBI! I think it was for a popularity contest for escort pics not the presidential election.

 

Is anyone REALLY that interested in whether Talvin and Tamar are an item?

 

The only thing that rises to objectionable rather than silly is the idea that deej or "mysterious others" are somehow doing something underhanded. Like I said the rest is fun but deej absolutely doesn't deserve this.

 

Oh yeah. For the record I have never hired Talvin and probably never will. But I can see why the guy might not want to post on this board if the only thing he sees about him is goofy stuff like this.

The First Ammendment protects US Citizens from GOVERNMENT censorship. It has no bearing on a privately-owned internet message board.

 

I have no idea why the thread was deleted. But if I was guessing, I'd guess that a banished poster who's been stalking Talvin (and others) for five years tried to sneak back in and was again eradicated. <shrug> I'm guessing HooBoy got out his can of Drama-Be-Gone. And it IS just a guess.
