This month a year ago, I began to engage the services of escorts after finding selective sites on the Internet. Well, when I see someone in a hotel, I try to provide an atmosphere (with music and scented candles)! I've principally been complimented on the candles (by these men), but the music (which is from my boom box) has NOT really been up to snuff. So, men, here is my request.

What really "hot", "hot" CDs would you suggest that I purchase which would definitely enhance the moments that I am with these escorts?

Although I can and have usually "gotten into" these men, discounting those that I decided NOT to review, I cannot stand a room of silence or just our moans and groans.

Last December I went to a model contest in WeHo; the music that the manager played was "slammin'"! It really helped the atmosphere of the whole event (although the man who should have won-- did not--and my friends and I were extremely disappointed, but to keep on topic-- music, music, music-- that is what I am after-- especially special CDs. Thanks!

RE: My all-time favorite

ROTFLMAO!

I assume that you actually have this cd, since you scanned the cover. I must confess to being partial to the BB's version of "American Pie" myself.

As to serious suggestions, I think it all depends on what kind(s) of music you like. I know I wouldn't want some techno-y thing playing during sex, but someone else might find kd lang uninspiring. Some of my favorites: kd lang's "all you can eat" (which is all about sex); enigma's first album (though perhaps a bit cliched at this point); anything by julie london; atlantic/stax 60's r&b; sylvia's "pillow talk" or anything by barry white (if you want something over-the-top sexual but also amusing playing); or... Gee, I like music WAY to much to compile a short list, as anyone who has been to my apartment knows.

Yeah, I have all of the Brady Kids' albums (there were 3, plus a Christmas album), all digitally remastered from the original master tapes (not in 24-bit, tho, unfortunately). They couldn't sing, but by-gosh, they were spunky. Each CD includes bonus tracks from the infamous Maureen McCormick (Marcia) & Chris Knight (Peter) duet album...including Marcia's version of "Ben." Talk about a hard-on inducer. :p

>anything by julie london

Have you ever heard her hot & sultry version of "Yummy, Yummy, Yummy"? This is not a joke. It appears on Capitol Records' collection On the Rocks, Part 2 ("Ultra-Lounge versions of your favorite rock tunes proudly performed by the mood masters of easy listening"). On the same CD: Guy Lombardo doing "Mrs. Robinson" (well, not doing her...or maybe he did...I wasn't there)

>atlantic/stax 60's r&b

Rhino just re-released Cher's one and only album done for Atlantic...her soul album recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama in 1969. If you can't get your groove on to Cher singing "(Sittin' On) the Dock of the Bay", then I don't know what to say.

>sylvia's "pillow talk"

That's a hot song. That, and Roberta Flack's "Feel Like Makin' Love." Did you know that Sylvia went on to found Sugarhill Records and produced the first rap song, "Rapper's Delight"? (This is very important trivia.)

*footnote: I don't really play music during sex...I'd hate to find myself moaning to the beat (and I'm a big moaner) (that's how you can tell Derek and me apart in the dark: he grunts, I moan).

Great topic! Anything by Massive Attack (especially 'Mezzanine,' but 'Protection' is also terrific) is a great mood-setter -- the right combination of mellow and erotic, and the songs have a way of building to crescendos (sp?) that go nicely with whatever crescendos are happening between you and your boy. :9

If he's into hip-hop, or maybe even if he's not, a great selection is Dr. Dre's 'Chronic 2001: Instrumentals Only,' which has a sexy, funky, stripped-down and VERY infectious sound, but without the usual added bonus of hearing rappers call each other bitch-ass muthafuckaz over and over. I'm selective about which clients I play this CD for -- it's a little too contemporary for some -- but if you're trying to set the mood for an escort I think he'd be pretty impressed by this choice unless he just DESPISES hip-hop. For anyone who doesn't get why hip-hop is so popular, this CD is a great place to start. It's also getting snapped up around town.

Other CDs in heavy on-duty rotation right now for me:

'Back to Mine' by Groove Armada -- a great chill-out mix CD that combines improbable choices seemlessly and smartly. Who would've thought to put "Playing Your Game Baby" by Barry White AND "Pharaohs" by Tears for Fears on the same CD? Plus there's an Al Green version of "Light my Fire" that makes me melt. And check this out -- the blurb on the back of the cover specifically recommends playing it with scented candles -- right down your alley!

Another 'Back to Mine' compliation CD (it's a series from Ultra Records), this one by Talvin Singh, who mixes South Asian sounds with club beats, always to interesting effect. On this CD he's slowed down and sensual. Adds a nice Kama Sutra vibe to the proceedings.

The 'Buena Vista Social Club' soundtrack -- is there anybody on the planet who doesn't like this one? Playing this won't necessarily make you look hip, but it is almost always in good taste for a romantic evening.

'Supa Dupa Fly' and 'Miss E: So Addictive' by Missy 'Misdemeanor' Elliott both have soul and funk in spades. If I walked in and a client was playing Missy Elliott I think I'd fall in love. (However, she's another one I'm a little selective about which clients I play her music for. It's accessible, poppy hip-hop, but still hip-hop.)

I have no such qualms about the self-titled CD by Si*Se, which features a lovely Latina vocalist, funky electronic rhythms and a very good cover of that 80's classic, "The Rain" by Oran "Juice" Jones. Mellow, sultry, classy, smooth. It's a good "who IS this?!?" CD that will make you look like a connoisseur. Nobody seems to have heard of it, but they love it when they hear it.

Okay, now I really hope other people reply to this thread because I've tipped my hat and now I need to freshen up my collection, lest clients start saying "you're playing Massive Attack?!? I thought I was special!" :o

RE: for your listening pleasure

With all my heart I say God Bless Rick Munroe.

The Julie London snippet was tooooooooo much. When growing up I knew I was a queer little boy except every time my mom played Cry Me A River and I knew I had done Julie wrong.

Cher 1973 Universal recording of "Bittersweet White Light"

or

Lana Cantrell singing "Let Yourself Go"

forgive me but

any song Donna Summer ever wrapped her lips around.:9

Yes, Rick, I already knew all of that important music trivia. Julie's "Yummy Yummy Yummy" is indeed sublime.

Two more I forgot to mention:

Xaviera Hollander's "Michelle" (yes, the Beatles tune; and yes, Xaviera was known as "The Happy Hooker" in the 1970's)

Marilyn Chambers (yes, THAT Marilyn Chambers) "singing" "Benihana".

I suppose both were trying for the success that Andrea True actually accomplished with "More, More, More".

Devon, thanks for the compliment, man, and for your succinct and reasonably thorough suggestions! They're most appreciated. I rang Tower Records on Columbus and asked about all of your artists; the quiet-spoken sales associate stated that everything you suggested was in their store; I hope I am NOT in for a let down when I go to purchase these CDs.

Again, many thanks for your valuable suggestions!

;) ;)

I find that Petula Clark's "Downtown" gets me up and going every time.

That, and anything by ABBA. I can't believe none of you guys mentioned them. I have all their 8-tracks and play them constantly in my 1978 Lincoln Town Car (Cartier edition in mint condition - no less). The Gold Album is wearing out though - and it's getting damn hard to find replacement tapes x(

Sex in the spacious grey leather back seat of that luxo-boat is something to be savoured. Listening to ABBA, the little light glowing from the oval side windows...

Mmm.

RE:

Some good sex music...

Moodswings,

Kinda generic and repetitive, but is good background music. You do not have to think about it.

Moby

Everything is Wrong

Has always sounded great to me, fresh as the first time I heard.

Dalida,

Ma Maniere,

A Greek-born (I think) goddess/icon/legend that was/is hugely popular in France. She is still beloved in gay bars. Sings ballads, dance club hits, ethnic clog dancing songs, etc. Best I can compare her to is Madonna, but not so pop-like. She looks like Sanra Bernhardt.

Hildegaard von Bingen

Don't recall the title of the CD. But is mellow, smart, thick music that makes me horny.

Burl Ives and Bob Dylan

Recorded feminist poems set to music.

Johnny Cash

Hello I'm Johnny Cash

But only if I kick Tina out for the night and replace her with lots of whiskey and beef jerky. This goes good with a copy of Thunderbolt and Lightfoot playing on video. I prefer only when wearing white tube socks with colored bands at the top.

Yma Sumac

Exotica

Not stuff from the am radio dial, but snappy music to listen to. Never had her CD's on during sex. But, if I were caught in moment between arousal and confusion, this would be a perfect CD. Maybe I will fuck a girl, or a guy, or a TS, make bird calls, or just take a nap. Is she a gifted diva with royal Incan blood-lines, or just a suburban New Jersey girl with dylexia?

Farm Lopez

Cancionnes Populares, la kabra y Valencia

When I really want to get wild and toss out all the social graces. Perhaps get gangbanged bareback by a dozen or so undocumented workers, while wearing a multi-colored clown wig and white nurses shoes.

Trance

I have some special theme tune like Moby's "The Ultimate Fuck Song". And Madonna singing about little dicks.

Max Linen - "The Soulshaker" - Domination

Cherry Poppin Daddies - Butch the Gay Santa Clause

ATB ####

=> Tiesto <= a DJ from Amsterdam #######

The theme to Gladiator

The Twin Peaks soundtrack

Gary Glitter - that football tuba and drum deal

ATB and Tiesto are the BEST trance

Enigma and Enya sometimes work

I download it all from audiogalaxy

RE: Sexual Music

While I don't pretend to express the common taste, these are the cds that if someone put on for me, I would instantly have an orgasm.

Relaxed, passionate, ethereal sex:

Bjork - Homogenic: Drum N Bass mixed with a string section and incredible melodies.

Res - How I Do: Not hip-hop, not r&b, but incredibly sexy.

Tori Amos - From the Choirgirl Hotel: Every track oozes sexuality.

Tricky - Maxinquaye: Tricky's best album...the girl singer's voice is really soothing and the beats will get you slow grinding.

Hardcore, Falcon-style sex:

Paul Oakenfold - Tranceport: Decent trance is hard to come by...this will do it.

Peaches - The Teaches of Peaches: Songs like "Fuck the Pain Away" and "Suck It Up". You get the idea.

Sneaker Pimps - Becoming X: Make sure you have the stamina to keep up with this.

Hope this helps!

Bobby Thompson

RE: Sexual Music

Two weeks ago I happen to have been in the Museo Theatro in San Jose, Costra Rica. The group happened upon a rehearsal of two dancers (male) who exhibited some very homoerotic moves; the dance itself was laddened with homothemes; at the end of the dance, the men kissed.

It did not faze me a bit, for I smiled and applauded. When the dance concluded and the lights went up-- I made it a point to ask about the music that accompanied the dancers. One of the dancers told me that it was by Saint Germain; I loved the song and must procure the CD. I could see some "hot" hunk and I having a very hot session with this accompaniment.

BTW, it's been a whole year since I began this thread; it's unusual that I write here on its anniversary. This happened yesterday, too.

Someone else started a thread a year ago to date where I responded.

I smiled and thought both instances coincidental.

Happy CD hunting my cyber partner!

RE: Sexual Music

I just had a client with whom, once it was time to start turning the bodywork towards the denoument, I started out Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring at the second band, the one about hobbiton and just let it play into the darker stuff. He said afterwards that it was "very powerful music" and his climax had already told me the same thing.

RE: Sexual Music

Today I bumped to the tunes of the new Ashanti's CD. A few of the songs here would be excellent background music during your exciting sexual encounter; I think it would truly enhance the date!

I never forget when I formerly went to the baths in SF (when they existed) that "hot, sizzling"-- upbeat music was omnipresent throughout the evening and morning. The tunes and their beat helped the human hearts beat faster as well as the libidos that were in operation...
