I know that people do it and I’m unaware of any rules against, but the act invites a certain amount of ridicule. The more over the top ridiculousness of the sales pitch, the more ridicule it will unleash. If you think your business is singled out in this regard, let me introduce you to Yelp and Reddit. The deposit thing has been discussed ad nauseam. Probably 95% of deposit requests are linked to a scam attempt: I’ve never heard of one that wasn’t. That’s just an unfortunate reality. When you ask for a deposit you alienate a majority of potential customers. It’s not wise to send deposits with the current proliferation of fraud. Doing so is downright naive. Without deposits you will have some no shows. It’s the cost of doing business. Restaurants have to throw out unsold food. Retail establishments absorb theft. Hair salons try to fill no show slots with walk ins and sometimes can’t. The list goes on. It’s too bad, but, again, it’s realty. It’s a competitive market. You have to operate within the boundaries of the marketplace. Deposit requests are currently well outside those boundaries. Noted and agreed. I love to have this source of honest feedback so I can provide the best possible experience to the client while I’m still in New York. That’s what I’m all about. Thanks stud 😘 Greg250 1

It claims to taken from a post on Company of Men, yet none of the existing threads on this couple include such a post. I found it particularly queer that the word "perfecto" was used, given that it is inconsistent with the spelling and grammar style of the rest of the post, likely a result of AI and Spanish translator. Sure enough, I used the handy Search 🔍 function and the word "perfecto" has not been used on Company of Men to describe a meeting with these men. It appears someone is relying too much on AI to spam the Internet with false reviews. I hope I'm wrong; but, proceed with caution. Out of respect of everyone here, luckily I found the print screen from about 1,5 years ago when we first saw this client, and funny enough he just came back to see me (a couple of days ago) solo while partner hasn’t yet arrived. I apologize for advertising here, I honestly didn’t know it wasn’t allowed. Out of respect for that, I will not be engaging in further replies. In case you’d like to schedule without deposit, I will open that exception because I feel trust in here. If you’d like to call for further information, it’ll be a pleasure to speak with you. Thanks for everyone’s attention. + Vegas_Millennial and Greg250 1 1

Far too often it turns into exactly what we’re seeing in this thread: a provider getting defensive in front of potential clients, which ends up harming their own brand…usually unintentionally. The fact that these threads are public on the internet means the reach… and negative impacts may be unfathomable. My unsolicited suggestion is that providers treat CoM like a scalpel, not a mallet. Drop in occasionally to say hello to your fans, answer questions you’re comfortable answering publicly, and keep the actual advertising on the paid websites where it belongs. The few providers who remain consistently active here seem to have quickly learned that arguing with or disparaging a whole forum of clients is bad for both their mental health and their bottom line. Ok thank you Greg250 1
