To my mind, handsome and leading Hollywood star are not necessarily the same thing. Ever since Hollywood started churning out films their leading men have not always been good looking by any standard. But some have been stunners. 
As for classically handsome, The Greek and Roman statues provide many examples of handsome men but not all obviously are so.
