Typical Posted Wednesday at 06:26 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:26 PM It seems like 90% of RM ads request that clients ask for rates rather than just state them plainly in the rates section. Why? I can’t decipher a good reason. Is dynamic pricing in play? Doesn’t seem like it. Is there an extra charge for displaying the info? It seems like a whole lot of fruitless back and forth must ensue. It’s annoying. Is there any rational point to it?

Unonymous30xxx Posted Wednesday at 06:52 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:52 PM Some of them have a list or variable rates that aren't broken down the same way the app categorizes them. Tactile Daddy and + Vegas_Millennial 1 1
jeezifonly Posted Wednesday at 07:43 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:43 PM "I'm paid solely for my time" The transaction revolves around a service of a vague nature where "satisfactory conclusion" is open to a lot of interpretation. The provider wants to know what you expect of the compensated time spent in his presence. (Always anticipate the dollar amount will be more than you'd hoped.)
JMS Posted Wednesday at 11:37 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:37 PM I do find it rather annoying. I must admit that I posted rate tends to lead to me reaching out, rather than the generic “ask me.“ As far as I’m concerned, since they’re seeking my business I prefer them to be upfront with their pricing rather than expecting me to reach out with that question. prof 1

No, I don’t think so. When you text them they, 99% of the time, reply with one or two rates that quite easily and logically fit within the app categories. Rarely is there a complex set of answers that can’t be easily described in the ad. So, again, what was the point of not including the price in the advertisement? Do they particular enjoy getting rate request messages all day long?
