wsc Posted Wednesday at 03:45 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:45 PM This happens to me a couple times a week, usually in the morning after a night out. It's really strange. I think; I can't really remember. Joking aside and without the alcohol contributor, this has to be scarry as hell. Best wishes for her. thomas 1
Luv2play Posted Thursday at 08:25 PM Posted Thursday at 08:25 PM I’ve never heard of such an occurrence. I once had a loss of short term memory but that was caused by a fall and a concussion where I was knocked unconscious. When I came to some minutes later I couldn’t recall where I was or anything from the last few weeks. Within hours my memory came back except for the few minutes before the fall, which I never recovered. The doctor who treated me at the hospital called it retrograde amnesia.

Traumatic retrograde amnesia and transient global amnesia are two very different things. Both are generally harmless, but the causes and symptoms are very different.
