Very few lawyers represent criminals. There are some very bad lawyers out there, but don't judge a whole profession based on them. A bad doctor does not make all doctors bad. I have absolutely no opinion on attorneys, barristers, judges, prosecutors, or defense counsel who adjudicate the law, prosecute cases, or defend individuals' fundamental rights under their respective constitutions. However, I hold strong views about those who personify the state's capacity for violence against the public including police officers, sheriffs, armed federal agents with arrest and deadly force authority, and the like. I genuinely wish them well in their personal lives, but the idea of becoming emotionally/sexually involved with anyone in armed law enforcement would leave me deeply ill at ease.
