ShortCutie7 Posted April 24 Posted April 24 I’ve had it for over a week now… I initially thought it was just allergies since my only symptom for the first few days was mild congestion but it’s turned into deep congestion with a cough. A ton of people around are coughing and sneezing, so there’s definitely something going around. Be careful out there, New Yorkers!
BuffaloKyle Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Yeah, I had something like that a couple weeks ago. I knew it wasn't allergies because I had a sore throat first for a couple days and then a stuffy nose. It was odd though as I was blowing my nose a lot but it wasn't stuffy to the point where I couldn't breathe through my nose even when I was laying down in bed to sleep. marylander1940, ShortCutie7 and + Charlie 1 2
danteig Posted April 25 Posted April 25 (edited) Yep. Some of my older gay friends have caught it and it seems really bad. A couple of them have unfortunately ended up at the hospital. Edited April 25 by danteig + Charlie, ShortCutie7 and marylander1940 1 2

But I gave whatever I have to my mother (who is older) so thanks for the warning that it could get serious! + Charlie 1
+ sync Posted April 26 Posted April 26 I reside about 80 miles outside of NYC and, while I have not visited NYC in months, I have recently experienced the same above symptoms. + SidewaysDM, + Charlie, marylander1940 and 1 other 1 3
+ sniper Posted April 27 Posted April 27 (edited) I'm out in the suburbs of nyc and when my sister was admitted to the hospital for something else, they noted the ER has been slammed for a couple of months with some respiratory bug. My other sister and brother both sounded like death for weeks. Edited April 27 by sniper ShortCutie7, + sync, + Charlie and 2 others 1 4
+ SidewaysDM Posted April 27 Posted April 27 My wife recently retired from her position as an ER nurse after 40 years. We reside in the suburbs of Philly. She got this respiratory bug, and I can’t recall her ever being this sick. She had the worst cough, runny nose and lost her voice for the past few weeks. My brother and sister in law also, struggled for weeks with it. This is one nasty virus! + Charlie, + sync, marylander1940 and 1 other 1 3
+ Just Chuck Posted April 27 Posted April 27 I spent the last two weeks on a work trip to Las Vegas. I think the same thing is going around there. Three of the eight people I worked with came down with symptoms just like that. I’ve been non-symptomatic. So, I hope I dodged that one. ShortCutie7, marylander1940 and + Charlie 1 2

I meant to check out Entourage Spa or Adonis Health Club but the whole two weeks slipped by and I hadn’t made it to either one! ShortCutie7 1
+ sniper Posted Tuesday at 02:08 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:08 AM To be fair, I think you're more likely to get action at the hotel spas. + Just Chuck 1
