Providers- do you ever share your full name?

I suppose if you have to in order to take an electric deposit? I was just surprised to see that my favorite provider texted me his flight confirmation (unsolicited) that included his name. 

I'm pleased that he trusts me. But I also worry about him (he's sweet, younger and maybe too trusting). Or is this not a big deal for you guys? No real risk with a regular? Or maybe it was just carelessness on his part. 

It made me happy to see, but I may be just reading too much into it.
