The Rolex is a self winding watch. Wearing the Rolex 24/7 he didn’t move enough to keep it wound. It was quite sad. I couldn’t wear it while he was alive…it felt wrong…and now, I don’t wear watches and it’s in a safe. Whoisyourdaddy and + azdr0710 2

Once the video started playing, I immediately recognized him as Ryan Reynolds. I didn't know he had done a film where there was an Antiques Roadshow spoof in it. + claym, + PhileasFogg and + azdr0710 1 1 1

My parents gave it to me for Hanukkah. I was thinking I was in the third grade. But that seems awfully young. On the other hand I had had trouble with telling time, but once I actually had a watch to wear-I was fine. So maybe it was third grade after all. Addendum-it probably was third grade. I just flashed to a memory of the following February/March. A friend and I didn't know it was a standard 31 day calendar, and we were laughing about how I had to get past 29-31 to get back to 1. I think if I had been older than 9, I would have understood the mechanism better. Edited Monday at 05:47 PM by Gar1eth

My first watch was about the same age and in the early 70's...I took it apart...so I guess it won't be on Antiques Roadshow. I collect cars...I was so happy to actually buy an ANTIQUE car last year that was actually OLDER THAN ME! Edited Monday at 07:12 PM by PhileasFogg + Gar1eth 1

Of course, with 9,000 miles on it, I’ve been driven longer and harder than the car 😅 wsc and Lotus-eater 2
