Years ago I was introduced to the wonders of Rio by TomCal.

Can anyone tell me where he is and whether he still posts?

I also met him (introduced by another regular RJ visitor I was traveling with) during my first visit to RJ in 2012......very low-key, cool guy.....with his tremendous experience with all things RJ, he sorta held my hand and blew my nose during that first visit to an RJ sauna......I didn't stay in touch, but he was much more active in the forum over at the 'other site' which eventually became gayguides......a few years ago, there was some minor kerfuffle over there about his posts and he eventually reduced his visibility there, I think.......others here can offer more comment about Tom and you may get some DMs from people who still know him....I'm sorry I can't offer more about your questions, but wanted to chime in about what a cool guy he is......really gave me some confidence during those first timid steps in Brazil......I hope he's doing ok......

I just saw a picture that was shared on Facebook with him in it the other day, he looks good.

I message with him occasionally... not like before though.
