Let me first say that this was the first time I met Jeremy Tucker. I sat with him during lunch together with Brett and some of the porn stars. He was jovial and funny. Since I'm not into drugs, I couldn't tell whether or not he was stoned. If I'm not mistaken, he was the first or the second person to sign up and he made it clear that he wanted the Puerto Vallarta vacation. I was standing beside him when he signed up for the contest.

Although it was a clothing optional resort, most of the people were either wearing swimming trunks or shorts. There were some who were completely naked. Even most of the porn stars had their swimming trunks on except for a few. I saw some fondling and a few oral sex by a couple of the porn stars and their fans. However, I did not observe any anal sex on or around the area. My room is situated in the middle of the resort and since this was my first experience, I was roaming around trying to observe what was happening all over the place. What I found rude was when he just barged in into my room without permission and wanted to see what kind of room I got for Brett and myself.

If he was so disgusted with all the sex going on there, why was he fondling the guy in the massage table? I watched him lick his fingers and started massaging the guys dick. I was standing by the door of my room just three feet away from him.

And after he paraded during the contest, he sat just above me while the other contestants paraded. And when one of the cute young guys got a loud applause from the audience, he touched me on the shoulders and said that the reason the guy was getting such applause is because he is white. Since I am Asian, he even told me that guys like me and him will never place in this type of contests. I should say that Jeremy is a gorgeous guy with a great body. He probably would have placed and even won had he not annoyed the judges prior to their selection. He kept yelling at them saying the contest was fixed and at first I thought he was just joking. But he said it for so long that even I got annoyed and had to move down further away from him and closer to Brett.

It is unfortunate that he said what he said. but I truly believe that he really didn't mean it. He was probably just frustrated that being a well known porn star, he didn't even place in the contest. Like I said, he did apologize to a few people afterwards but it was too late and the organizers had decided to expel him from the premises.

But to say that he made the statement because of his concerns regarding the unprotected sex going on in the premises, I think is just a cover-up for his unfortunate behavior.

I noticed the email from Michael Brandon regarding the AIDS, charitable pool party held in Palm Springs over the weekend and I wanted to comment on what happened. I was there and Michael was, as usual, at his frisky best. However, an unfortunate event did happen. There was a beautiful body contest. One of the prizes was a porno audition (as well as a nice trip). One would have thought that the intent of the contest was to give a break to someone not currently in the porn business. However, Jeremy Tucker entered. I wasn't surprised when the top winners were men who were not already working in the adult industry. Evidently, Mr. Tucker was surprised. He grabbed the microphone and announced that he hoped everyone died of AIDS and left the party flipping everyone the bird. His behavior might explain the negative review that has already been posted in the review section of this site. Mr. Tucker is truly a physically, beautiful man, but I certainly would not avail myself of his services based upon his conduct.

I was also there with Brett Silvers, who won the Hot Nude Body Contest. We were lying by the grass near the pool area, when Jeremy sat just above me and started yelling at the judges, telling them that the contest was fixed. At first I thought he was just joking because the contest was not even through yet and they haven't even tabulated the scores. There were five judges I believe. He was obnoxiously rude and even barged into our room earlier to see what kind of room Brett and I were staying in since it was the biggest room in the compound complete with a living room and a kitchen. He even made a nasty comment to me which I just ignored. He was pissed because he didn't even make the runner-up list and after the winners were announced, he grabbed the microphone and said what he said. I talked to Joey and Carlo afterwards and they said that they immediately booted him out of the resort. They were so embarassed with what he did because there were a number of people from the porn industry and gay magazines who were present during the party. Jeremy tried to apologize to some of the people and was in tears but by that time it was too late. He even apologized to a couple of guys who ran into him at a liquor store outside the resort. This was to be my first escort experience and my first gay event. I'm still in shock and am trying to absorb everything that just happened.

But I did enjoy tremendously the show some of the porn stars did to entertain the crowd especially Michael Brandon and Sam Dixon's "oral entertainment" with their fans. And I still have Bryan Archer's boots and shorts which I won at the auction. :) He was gracious enough to sign them for me. As usual Blake Harper was also looking good with his new BF.

Despite the drama, the party turned out to be a fun party and a successful charity event for the AIM Health Care Foundation.

For what it's worth, there are always two sides to every story. I've been hearing both and variations from various sources in the porn industry.

Jeremy Tucker's agent, David Forest, has released a heartfelt apology from Jeremy and the really telling words are:

<<The frustration comes from knowing that the disease is less transmittable by safer sex practices. Witnessing unsafe sexual practices taking place at an AIDS fundraiser was more than I could handle. >>

In other words Jeremy, a safer-sex advocate, was shocked by all the bareback sex going on at an AIDS fundraiser. It's easy enough to be catty and say it was about some petty contest (he's won ENOUGH awards, boys), but it boils down to frustration.

It doesn't excuse what was said, but it may help explain it. It also says a lot about the participants and the event.

It was a fundraiser for AIM at a gay, clothing optional, Palm Spring resort. It wasn't a sex party. Was there sex that went on during the event? Some. Did sex occur after dark and after the end of the event? Of course. However, I saw no anal sex occur (with or without a condom) during the day -- although I tended to mind my own business. And after dark, I wasn't exactly inspecting all the dark corners of the cruisy resort to see what was going on.

I had no inter-action with Mr. Tucker (other than the enjoying seeing his physical attractiveness) so I cannot comment on whether he was stoned (as several other people present have indicated)or whether he was just having a very bad hair day. However, I can assure you, whatever might have motivated Mr. Tucker's behavior, it had nothing to do with his concerns for safe-sex education.

I have great respect for you Deej, but I'm really disappointed that you're making that assumption based on a statement from a third party (Jeremy's agent) who probably wasn't even at the resort.

I, for one, would hate to see a man's reputation and means of livelihood ruined because of this unfortunate incident. Of course, they will try to save face now to justify his behavior. People would have more respect for Jeremy if he would just take responsibility for his action and apologize, at least I would. What's so hard about saying "I made an error and I'm sorry."

Their assertion that all kinds of barebacking sex was happening during the event is just false. I was at the resort for three days and most of the time during the party, I was outside roaming around because I was curious and wanted to see and meet all these gorgeous men who were there. Like I said, this was my first time and I felt like a kid lost in a Toys R'Us Store. :)The only time I left the compound was for one hour late at night to have dinner with Brett at a nearby restaurant.

I went to the party to relax and have some fun. I did not go there because I thought it was going to be a sex party. I believe that the fund-raising event was for a good cause and I even contributed over a thousand dollars to the cause. It's just wrong for them to justify his unfortunate behavior on the organizers of the event.

Actually, I usually don't believe a word David Forest says. ;-) However, I'd heard the same stories from several individuals (who were at the resort) even before the public apology was issued on Jeremy's behalf.

I think Jeremy's apology was well-worded, and to his credit he didn't mention the racial slur made by one of the AVN staff members at the start of this event.

As I said in my first post on this topic, there are at least two sides to every story. :-)

I'll post the full text of the apology below....

========================================================

JEREMY TUCKER asked me to send out this note for him. He knew that I would have a better list of addresses so as to reach as many people as possible.

DAVID FOREST

To The Gay Community,

I want to apologize for my emotional outburst at the JoeyandCarlo.com / A.I.M. benefit that took place at Camp Palm Springs last Saturday. I’d like it to be known that the feelings I expressed originated from pain and frustration, not anger or ill will.

My involvement with H.I.V. positive friends and lovers has left me feeling helpless against this disease. The pain comes from knowing that there is no cure today ... always hoping that tomorrow will be different.

The frustration comes from knowing that the disease is less transmittable by safer sex practices. Witnessing unsafe sexual practices taking place at an AIDS fundraiser was more than I could handle.

My feelings about MY own personal situations came to a head at a definite wrong place and time.

I deeply apologize.

JEREMY TUCKER

Well, he's got a valid point there. :-(

The porn industry is very racist. Most awards shows have categories for "Best Performer(s)" and "Best Ethnic Performer". Why not rename the first one to "Best White Performer(s)"?

The judges at this event probably came from that same industry/mindset.

On behalf of all the dirty old men out here, may I suggest that anytime we are discussing a particular person and it is available to do so, that someone among the first posters would please either post a picture or a link to one so? I doubt if I am the only one of us who can remember a face much better than a name.

If he felt that way from the start, then why even bother entering the contest and then cry "FOUL" later on. I know I would not subject myself to that situation.

When Brett told me he was entering the contest, I told him to just have fun and even if he didn't win, I would take him to Mexico for a one week vacation. But Jeremy wanted the Puerto Vallarta vacation, plain and simple.

Incidentally, this photo of Jeremy was taken after a porn awards show in Chicago. Jeremy was in line behind me at the coat check, beating a hasty retreat just as I was.

I've now had two reports from people I trust that AFTER he signed up for the contest and did his thing, a staffer from AVN (one of the judges) was heard to say flat-out that a white guy would win the contest.

That would probably get my nose a bit out of joint too. And it may help explain some of the behavior you've described (i.e. calling the contest rigged -- IT WAS!). :-(

I'm not saying any of this to defend Jeremy or what he said. I *have* met him, and found him to be a very likeable guy. All I'm doing is making sure that what could easily be a mudslinging has both sides represented.

I was lying on the grass three feet away from all the judges and Jeremy sat beside me and I did not hear what you're claiming. But you were able to make your conclusion that the contest was rigged based on hearsay. WOW! I'm off to the city and won't be back unti next month. No more response is necessary. You have a nice day, Deej. :)

Attention: Hooboy Readers

I feel we must reply to this string of messages concerning our Palm Springs Pool Party Benefit. First of all regarding whether it was a sex party or not; It was not. For one, how can one throw a gay sex party and gain sponsorships from companies of all sorts. How does one throw a sex party and receive approval to benefit a fine nonprofit organization. How does one? You do not, you cannot, and we did not.

This was an organized event to help raise money for the Adult Industry Health Care Foundation. AIM, as many of you know is in the practice of protecting our community from disease; Never would they approve a “sex party.” For those of you who attended the event, you all saw the table with AIM literature, brochures, and condoms all in attempts to spread the word of safe sex and good health. To merely dismiss this benefit as a “sex party” is to be uninformed and callus.

Secondly, many are passing rumors and quick judgments about our contest being unfair, rigged, or racist. That is so ridiculous that it is even hard to respond to. Our contest was meant to be an entertainment addition to the event. It was all for fun and enjoyment. There were impartial judges who voted on a point system, in a more than fair way. The results were fair and I must say very close, most contestants came within one point of each other. I am pleased to say the party guests, contestants, and sponsors all enjoyed the festivities.

Finally, about this “Jeremy Tucker incident.” When we spoke to Jeremy early on in the day, he was pleasant and seemed to be having a great time. We were happy he came in lending his name and meeting with his fans. It is true during the contest he was upset and mentioned many times the contest was going to be rigged. We initially thought he was joking around and we dismissed it. Once Mr. Tucker learned the outcome of the contest he became very mad and made several hurtful comments to us and then on microphone to the crowd of about 200 guests. I do not doubt that the contest wasn’t the main reason for the outbursts, but to create this “unprotected sex party” story to make an excuse is not fair to AIM, party guests, sponsors, and us. I know Mr. Tucker is in a difficult position and has some PR work to do, we feel for him. But please do not belittle all the great work everyone did for a good cause just for damage control. We raised much needed money for AIM and The Red Cross. Please do not let that get lost in these emails of he said, he said. Mr. Tucker already has a lot to deal with and our prayers are with him. But, I do ask that Mr. Forest and all others who were NOT in attendance to please keep an open mind for the truth. We do not wish for an apology nor do wish for an explanation; we just wish to get on with the business of community support.

Sincerely,

Joey Di Bartolo and Carlo Ricci

Below is a copy of the original press release. Maybe now we can get past the rumors of this being an unprotected sex party. And we thank you to those of you who supported the party.

All About The Adult Industry Medical Health Care Foundation

The Adult Industry Medical (AIM) Health Care Foundation is a non-profit corporation formed to care for the physical and emotional needs of sex workers and people who work in the adult entertainment industry through our HIV and STD testing and treatment, our counseling services and our support group programs. We are happy to be serving the sex worker community and our goal is to provide health care for the body, mind, emotion and spirit, as well as to take a leadership position in promoting safe and responsible sexual behavior, not only for the adult entertainment industry, but for everyone.

AIM was co-founded in 1998 by the legendary Miss Sharon Mitchell, a glamorous porn star who has appeared in over 2,000 films, and who has won every award that the adult entertainment industry offers, including the 1999 Adult Video News highest honor "The Special Achievement Award" for her commitment to AIM and the ongoing crises in the adult business. "Rarely," writes Paul Fishbein, Publisher of AVN, "have we seen someone so dedicated, selfless and hard working... all for a common good. Your work has been an inspiration to everyone."

Miss Mitchell and Dr. Steven York, Medical Director of AIM, created AIM as well as a trusted physician who is highly regarded throughout the industry.

In addition to HIV-related services, AIM also provides condoms, testing and treatment for other sexually transmitted diseases, pap smears, psychiatric assessment, drug and alcohol counseling, cosmetic surgery information, chiropractic healing and support groups such as a Relationships Group, Abuse Survivors Group, Women of Porn and other special educational workshops.

Since we opened our doors in 1998, AIM has provided training as Chemical Dependency Counselors (certified!) for two former sex workers and certified phlebotomy tech training for ten sex workers that are now working for AIM or the community at large.

Thank You.

Deej: I really didn't want to get involved in this discussion because I wasn't there. But as you mentioned, you did want to present two sides, and you have. It's just I have to say that I think nobody ever faulted Jeremy Tucker for being upset; they faulted him for allegedly standing up on a stage at an AIDS fundraiser and yelling, "I hope you all die of AIDS."

Even if the contest was rigged, even if Jeremy was justifiably frustrated, even if he was treated unfairly... how about a declaration like, "This contest sucked!" Or, "I'll never be back here again!" Or, "Next time invite me to a fair fight!"

The fact that the words that did come out of his mouth were so vicious and vindictive is NOT defensible, even if you rationalize it. Truth of the matter is, he can only hope that people will forgive and forget, but he cannot expect it.

Hello

My name is David Verando. I just moved here to LA from NYC and this was my outing to an event like this....I was very happy to meet new poeple and great hot guys. I was a volunteer at the Joey and Carlo Palm Springs Party. I am good friend with Joey and Carlo and known them for 2 yrs. This was thier first big event for them and it was a great party for a charitable organization (AIM).I do not who is who in the Porn Idustry and I am not star struck like everyone else.Everyone was great from Michael (Brandon) to Zach (Richards) and Ashton (Ryan). I never seen any of the movies they made. I did not get to know Jeremy Tucker that well but I met him when I went over to him and Sam Dixon telling them they were need at the booth to sign autographs.....Sam was very funny with me when a made joke as who is who with Drew Warner....but I was there to work. When Jeremy and Sam got to the booth I asked them what they wanted and if they needed anything. They both asked for water and got them . I also told them if they need anything do not hesitate to ask me. Well as for the Hot Body Nude contest...Jeremy said a wrong thing and I was shocked by his outburst.I do not know if it was for not being placed or he was pissed at somebody. Anyway i saw Jeremy Tucker in the office afterwards with tears in his eyes appologizing to the owners and Carlo about his outburst...but he was thrown out of the place...."You do not say those things at a benifit".....Anyway i hope we move on from this ridiculous outnurst by Jeremy. I recommend that they suspended Jeremy from Adult Industry and for him to look back for what he said......That is my opinion.....but u must also learn to forgive and forget and move with our lives....I bet Jeremy is a great guy but his outburst was very wrong...

I forgive him already and BTW.....Sources close to me told me that the Joey and Carlo have raised near to $3000 all to (AIM) and at I think to the Red Cross close to $500 but look for an offcial report from both companies....I look fwd to being a another one and a better bigger party.

A FOOTNOTE: I did not see any unsafe sex during the event and remember JOEY AND CARLO are not responsible for what happen on the compound being it was open to the public....

BE SAFE and PRACTICE SAFE SEX ALL THE TIME NO MATTER IF HE OR SHE IS POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE.

This goes without saying. Anytime a black person behaves despicably - including telling an entire gathering of people at an AIDS fundraiser that he hopes they all die of AIDS - it can *never* be as bad as it seems. It is not, of course, the fault of the black person. His behavior must be understood, and excused, because he's not responsible for his behavior. White people and racism are responsible, not him, so let's not be so hard on him.

Can you be any more patronizing? He's an adult. He behaved sickeningly. But you treat him like a child and say: "Oh, little black boy - you're not responsible for what you do. You have no control over yourself. It's our fault what you did, not yours. We're so very sorry that those racists made you behave that way."

Sometimes, black people do bad things. To excuse what they did because they're black is about as racist and pathetic as it gets.
