d.anders Posted November 27 Posted November 27 I didn't see the reunion, but I was a huge fan of this show. It always made me laugh. I thought Doris Roberts was amazing as Marie. Such perfect casting. I'm glad she got to experience this level of success in her later years. A rare thing. SidewaysDM and samhexum 1 1

SidewaysDM Posted November 28 Posted November 28 The casting was amazing. The writing was superb. Any fan of the show should watch the reunion. It was filled with great stories from the cast, and some of the funniest clips from the show. Makes me want to revisit the series. samhexum 1
jmichaeliii Posted November 28 Posted November 28 I enjoyed it very much, such a great cast. Im addition to Doris and Peter, the casting of Amy's and Debras parents were also very well done. samhexum and SidewaysDM 1 1
jeezifonly Posted November 28 Posted November 28 It's probably the best sitcom that began as a vehicle for a stand up comic. The rest of the cast made Ray a better actor pretty quick, and the casting/writing/direction all remained strong til the end. I gotta watch this! SidewaysDM and samhexum 1 1
samhexum Posted December 3 Author Posted December 3 Doris won a dramatic emmy award for a brilliant performance opposite James Coco on St Elsewhere. I can still hear her calling the doctor Dr. Nice Eyes.
BuffaloKyle Posted December 3 Posted December 3 I wish they would air the upcoming Married With Children reunion just like the Raymond one but they aren't: + MikeThomas 1
d.anders Posted December 4 Posted December 4 I finally saw the anniversary special on YouTube. It is very well done. I can't remember the last time I burst into uncontrollable laughs, watching all those favorite scenes. I can only imagine what my neighbors thought. This show was so incredibly brilliant in so many ways. Ray Romano looks as though he hasn't aged. Patricia Heaton is looking a little too done. Very sad about the one twin who committed suicide. Very sad. I don't know if this video is legal, so it may disappear. Here's the link: Tallywad 1
