I'm on the lowest dose. I wonder if I should ask to go up a dose to try and get to 160. I'm just under 5'8" ... I'd ask. I didn't see any issues with going from 2.5 to 5 as far as side effects. Congrats on dropping down 40 lbs in short time! ericwinters 1
+ Lucky Posted January 30 Posted January 30 I went to see an Endocrinologist yesterday as I have gained 17 pounds on Mounjaro. It has sent my appetite into overdrive. Naturally, he said to quit it and go back to Ozempic.
dutchal Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Mounjaro sounds like what you'd call Mount Kilimanjaro if you're drunk. + mds1, DenverDad and + Charlie 3
sydneyboy Posted Wednesday at 08:03 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 08:03 PM An update on my weight loss journey. I started Mounjaro on 20 January. I weighed myself this morning and I have lost 4.4 kgs. I’m pleased with that.
+ Lucky Posted Wednesday at 08:46 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:46 PM Insurance wouldn't let me go back to Ozempic without starting anew. So I stayed on Mounjaro. Oddly enough, the 17 pounds I had gained just evaporated.
+ PhileasFogg Posted Thursday at 10:38 AM Posted Thursday at 10:38 AM (edited) Over the last three years, I dropped 4inches in my waist and added a lot of muscle. In the last few weeks, I gained 10! My core diet and exercise routines are unchanged. My only rationale is that I haven’t been diligent in avoiding gluten which triggers an inflammatory response. So, I’m recommitting to clean eating AND got my first Ozempic shot yesterday - after consulting with my Dr - to see if I can resync the trend. He recommends Mountjaro, but didn’t have a sample on hand. So we will go that route if I tolerate the ozempic Edited Thursday at 10:41 AM by PhileasFogg
