Luv2play Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Over the years there has been some discussion of his fashion here in the forum mainly as I can surmise his men’s underwear. Of course his impact on men and women’s fashion in the later 20th century was immense and he became the richest fashion designer in history. He seemed to lead a relatively low-key life although he wasn’t married and I haven’t seen any linkage to the gay world in his life except an early business partner who died in 1985. But not sure that was also a romantic partner. In the early 80s I bought an Armani leather jacket in Milan which I loved and wore for years until I retired it. I couldn’t bring myself to throw it out as the leather was as nice as the day I got it. The lining had frayed somewhat though. Here it is. Whoisyourdaddy, marylander1940, Carl and 6 others 8 1
BSR Posted September 7 Posted September 7 Giorgio Armani S.p.A. was a privately owned company valued at $10-12 billion with annual revenues of $2.7 billion, and the designer owned almost 100% of it. Besides a number of different fashion brands, from haute couture to “accessible” clothing, he got into the hotel business, restaurants, cafés, housewares, cosmetics, even flowers. Wow, that’s impressive. R.I.P. + sync and + Pensant 2
+ nycman Posted September 8 Posted September 8 By all accounts he was as much a genius at business as he was in fashion. Thankfully, I never really looked great in his clothes because quite frankly, I can’t afford them. I could afford, and loved, eating at his restaurants though. RIP BSR, thomas, Luv2play and 1 other 4

Here’s the NYC menu…most of the restaurants honor “Italian fare” in their menus…each restaurant a bit different. From what I’ve read, never visited one.
