He told me by the way, in the face, you look like Harvey Feierstein, the actor, whom he apparently met once and found to be very nice. I was going to say he's better known as a writer, but I didn't want to engage at all with this at least somewhat delusional man.

dropped by a popular neighborhood coffee house this morning for coffee and to use up a gift card.....the cashier smiled, said hello, was very pleasant, and I think she even did that now-ubiquitous "welcome in!" thing the second I went in the door......I joked with her that most coffee houses are staffed with sullen, pretentious, too-cool employees who never smile.....she instantly knew what I meant
