wandering around the internet, clicking on links to links to links (I got to this one in a very roundabout way via a youtube video on the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami and a "suggested" youtube over there on the side about the Ceausescu execution), led to this nice little "Danny Dutch" website with interesting bits of varied history......this is one quick-read article there (not intended to circumvent the forum rules against war, religion, or politics):
