Lea Michele is undeniably a talented singer, and she delivered a strong performance in Funny Girl. That said, I also appreciated Beanie Feldstein’s take—it was a very different, but valid, interpretation. Two distinct approaches to the same role. As for Lea, I’m not sure how much goodwill she has within the theater community. Time will tell. pubic_assistance and samhexum 1 1
jeezifonly Posted June 14 Posted June 14 It’s a big sing, and she’s likely up to it. But I don’t think the role is a Tony-maker. I’m still all-in on the original from ‘84, and love Kuhn’s Someone Else’s Story, though. It always strikes me as a musical that, on stage, needs a break g budget and an edgy Wunderkind HochKonzept Opera Director (Barrie Kosky?) + ApexNomad 1
