Ali Gator Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I've noticed for weeks now that when I go onto Rentmen for my location, the same two or three men are rotated daily as 'Rentman of the Day' - none of which are located or traveling in my area. I'm curious as how RotD is featured, and why there isn't more of a variety than the ones I'm seeing ? Is this a paid advertisement by the RM featured ?

Perhaps a provider will add more detail, but yes it is a paid promotion, paid for on top of a regular advertisement. It spans across multiple areas, so not unique to your location. Ali Gator 1

I think they're wasting money advertising in my area, since they are no where near here, but...

A single ad for Rentmen of the day seems to cover an entire coast of the US.
+ JamesB Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Here is a past thread: https://www.companyofmen.org/topic/137699-why-is-it-the-same-rentmen-of-the-day-guys-week-after-week-but-each-time-i-check-can’t-seem-to-find-availability/ Also from the RMen website:
nate_sf Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Yep it’s $48 per day for either east or west USA. $12 for Canada, $10 for Mexico and Central America. The part that’s weird is the slots are almost never available. Right now west coast is booked up for the next two months, and east coast only has one slot available in July. So I’m not sure how or why the same guys keep cycling through. Maybe they know when the new slots become available and jump in. I’ve done it a few times, and the page views rise significantly during that 24-hour period. Also even though I buy the west coast slots, I get a lot of views from all over the US as well as abroad. I think this can be useful in particular for guys who travel, as it builds awareness of their profile, so that when they travel people will remember them from before. Or they may get invites to travel to a particular city. At least that’s how the thinking goes! MikeBiDude and 56harrisond 2
+ BenjaminNicholas Posted June 8 Posted June 8 It's bought and paid for, but as with their 'Rentmen Exclusive' listings, there's a lot of blurry, gray area as to how escorts can et it. RMotD is booked solid, supposedly, for months at a time. Yet, the same dozen or so guys always show up on the cycle. Odd, but I don't overthink it. Rentmen used to give it out as a bonus, much like how Hooboy and Daddy had their 'Escort of the Day' back in review times.
CuriousByNature Posted June 8 Posted June 8 There is a provider, who I think is named Jessie Coulter or Colter. About 5 years ago there was discussion on this site that he had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. One day a couple of years ago he appeared as 'Rentman of the Day', and that lifted my spirits because I thought that meant he had been recently reviewed - which might indicate his heath had improved. I reached out to him to check how he was doing, hoping to hear his cancer had been successfully treated, but I never heard back. Granted, I never met him and only ever communicated my healing wishes, so I didn't really expect a response. Then I learned that being named 'Rentman of the Day' is not tied to a provider's level of activity, or their current abiilty to work. Hopefully he's doing okay wherever he is.
hotjock Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Yes I see its a paid advertisement by the escorts to stay on the top feed. I think it's a waste of time and money though, it may profit some but not all.
