d.anders Posted May 26 Posted May 26 This guy makes so many turkeys. His net worth is estimated to be around $160 million. He's got to be the most successful schlockmeister in the business. A Working Man is a cartoon movie. The Russian characters belong in a tragic vampire parody. Jason plays the same-old/same-old. This time with all his clothes on. Sylvester Stallone is co-writer and co-producer. Does not help. It must not matter as long as fans keep buying this stuff.

By the way, I went into Rocky expecting to really enjoy it, with its theme of the triumph of the common man, but I didn’t care for it at all. Maybe I should give it a second chance.

Boxing is not my thing, and I'm not particularly a Stallone fan, but I did love Cliffhanger and Cop Land. He is an experienced Hollywood insider, so with A Working Man, I expected more. IMO, Jason Statham deserves better material.

+ poolboy48220 Posted May 28 Posted May 28 He was pretty funny in "Spy", playing a caricature of his other characters. pleasureseeker and thomas 1 1

A lot of actors cannot do comedy no matter how hard they try, and to me Jason seemed quite natural at it. I also thought he had great chemistry with Melissa McCarthy. IMO, Spy could and should have been much better. But it was Paul Feig's project. He wrote and directed. In spite of it being off-the-wall silly, the movie grossed over $235 million dollars, against a budget of $65 million. I was sure someone would bring Melissa and Jason together again after those numbers. I would love to know why it hasn't happened.

I happen to think he's quite handsome, and I love his "good guy" appeal. He's always out to get the bullies in our world, and that's my kind of super hero. Considering his hot status, he has not done much nudity in his films. Never full frontal. Always wears a groin cover. Only his butt naked a few times when he was younger. He's almost 60 now, so I don't see it happening in the future. I didn't realize he has 2 children, so that may be the reason.
