+ Gar1eth Posted May 8 Posted May 8 We've seen over time how it's not as helpful. Today I took a screenshot of what I think is a scammer. I uploaded the picture tonight Dropbox and then loaded the picture onto my Chrome app on my phone. The guy is wearing glasses. The image search coned down on the glasses and only wanted to look for them. I tried to increase the area to the entire head and 'got nothing.'
+ JamesB Posted May 8 Posted May 8 You can also try using Yandex, the Russian search engine. In my experience, it’s better than Google for reverse image searches, mainly because it isn’t as restricted by privacy limitations.
maninsoma Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Do you mean Google Lens or are you still using Google Image Search?

As you can see, I try. But it fizzles out against the laughably antiquated Google Image Search algorithm. 😢 samhexum 1
56harrisond Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Google image search was once the standard, now it is now trash. I find these are more useful: https://www.duplichecker.com/reverse-image-search.php http://copyseeker.net http://pimeyes.com http://lenso.ai + azdr0710 1

When it focuses on something, it’s usually because I’m doing a product search—you can always change the area manually if needed. Lenso is the best, hands down. Or, if you want to cover more ground, just use a browser extension that searches across multiple engines at once. Makes life way easier! 🕵️♂️💻
