Every year, I share this with my friends and family via social media. This year, I share it here, with you.

Agnes Moorehead (1900 - 1974) was one of the finest radio / theater / movie / TV actresses of the 20th Century. Most of us know her as 'Endora' from the ABC series 'Bewitched' (1964 - 72). In 1970, she was a guest on 'Oral Roberts Easter Special' which was recorded on Holy Thursday that year, and broadcast on Easter night. It's one of the most moving monologues I've ever seen.

That was awesome.  Thank you for sharing this with us all.

First time I saw this many years ago (when it first was added to YT) I started weeping like a baby. It just hit me. That's when I decided to share it with everyone over social media (I usually share it on Good Friday) and I have found my friends and family then share this on their social.

I can not imagine - and I stress CAN NOT - any actress of today, young or old, who can do justice to this reading like Moorehead did, and stir up such emotion. We just don't have such actresses in Hollywood any more.

And as I got older sweet things for breakfast don’t appeal to me now.

I wish I had that problem!😀

I guess I'm lucky that my local Italian bakery - a family business since 1937 - still makes the hot cross buns every Lenten season. You can buy one, or you can buy them all.  I remember when I would go in with my grandparents (1960s, 1970s) and they were a dime. This weekend, they were a dollar each. Worth it.

The only one I can think of, and she is not a Hollywood actress, might be Charlotte Rampling.

There were 6 in my family including 4 kids so mother would buy a dozen for Easter Sunday. Otherwise we didn’t see them for another year. So I never developed a habit for them.
